She suggested doing pasta in the air fryer. The chef misheard her and thought she might have said pasty. I can just her imagine getting those giant lips around a nice big steak and onion one…particle by particle…until she’d got to three calories..
Can you imagine her slurping spaghetti like the dogs in Lady and the Tramp

Peter Voll...Volenb...Vollab...Peter the Demonstrator is an actor by trade. Looking at his IMDB profile.he's done some good work over the years. Playing a products expert role on a shopping channel is probably just that - another one to play. He is at that difficult age for the good-looking charismatic parts player as a male actor. Pushing 60 it must become more difficult to get these parts, and he isn't yet old enough to play really old codgers yet. He is listed on there as having two acting credits since 2020. No wonder he has to do other work like regular appearances on shopping television. You wonder when he was relentlessly flogging those rattan suites as Ideal World Three was going out of business if he ever saw what he was doing as anything more than an acting role, so conditioned to playing somebody else for a living he must be. That's not making an excuse for him by the way.

Also, it would be intriguing to know more about his role in 2001's ******? Yes, that's right...

Desperation?

Jeremy isn't exactly the worlds greatest actor, hasn't really done anything /that/ critically notable… and is now firmly washed up.

He's not had a decent acting gig for a long time, so has done low-rent stuff to stay relevant. That pays his (apparently lavish lifestyle, hobnobbing at garden parties with Christophe DuChump) but in turn, it makes him a less attractive casting for proper TV work.

People flicking through the Radio Times see a listing for a new drama starring someone they saw most recently on Celeb Colonoscopy Island* type shows will likely think: 'if that's the calibre of star involved… I'll Roofix my own face instead of watching' - that puts casting agents off.

The fact he's now sunken to doing shopping TV compounds that - suggests even the low-rent TV shows don't want him!

Shopping TV is basically a life-support machine for former celebs. They put their careers into a self-induced coma hoping things will recover, but few ever wake out of. Fact is, they'll need that machine more than it will need them.

And eventually it'll be turned off 💀

*Yes I made that up, but chances are a Channel 5 TV exec considered it at some point 😂

Jeremy did date Rachel Steven’s mind

Just her mind? 🤭

Which kind of underlines the point: Jeremy is best known for dating someone more famous than he was (and she isn't exactly that famous any more either) than for being an actor. He's not doing Shopping TV because he wants to, but because it's all he can do.

Hadn’t seen for years on TV until the other week was on the One show talking about her autobiography

Here's hoping her book sell wells or IW3 might buy a few pallets on clearance then get Jeremy to sell them at literal book price! 😂

That would be awkward viewing 🍿📺.

(Muriel would be in for a copy, but only cos she'd think Rachel was a member of Enid Blyton's Secret 7 rather than S Club 7).

To me, it is similar to when a football manager gets sacked too many times and then moves into football punditry, for example. It happened to people like Paul Jewell and Peter Reid and possibly now to Frank Lampard. Gradually, you feel, the phone stops ringing and they move out of clubs’ thinking for filling managerial vacancies. Leaving leisure wear, sofas, and Elton Welsby as their only options. Equally, too much time on shopping television kills the previous real TV career quite a number had, and they give up professional pride and job satisfaction in return for a good screw each week, as it were. Edwards could well be suffering a similar fate currently.
