Yep, and once the new studio is ready expect all of our favourite IW pretendy experts to appear in force.

I'm not so sure we'll see pretend-y experts for every show like we did on the old IW tbh.

Firstly, they cost money and TJC's parent company is able to turn a really healthy profit because it keeps margins (and product quality lol) low.

Secondly, the new IW doesn't focus on one product for an hour (unless it's a walking stick or dash cam haha) so a pretend-y expert on curtains might only be needed for 15 minutes or so before the show moves on to a different product entirely.

Hardly enough time for Peter Vollabore to swap his interiors expert clothes for, say, his DIY expert clothes...

That's not me saying NO experts, ofc - TJC have them occasionally but they tend to be for a specific product or type, not as a recurring jack-of-all-trades.

The TJC does regularly double up on presenters though. That Canadian bloke is paired up at night (when he leaves the wardrobe he hangs upside in) with the main presenter. Is he really needed there? Why don’t they save a fee and just have the one? Same in the mornings I’ve seen with Hodgson and Lyndsay etc…

Sally has said, Nobody new Ideal World was going to be relaunched as early as 29 September, Until the previous Monday

She said it’s quite clear, we are currently working from a studio, no bigger than my living room, That it hasn’t been easy getting suppliers, and will be able to do more once in there new bigger studios, please be patient

TJC and TJC-IW will pair up presenters - i.e. people paid to be 'face' of the channel - but in all my time watching TJC they rarely throw in a 'generalised topic expert' like old IW did. They do have a specific brand representative in certain shows but they're usually there for just that product/brand, and not popping up for (wildly) different things.

Chefs aside, I don't think it'd make sense to add more faces to TJC-IW with experts either. There are already enough proper presenters to go around and they're as much of an "expert" in {insert topic here] as IW's old pretend ones were anyway.

Why would former suppliers want to deal with IW again.
Even ex customers must not believe a word any of them say.
Has everyone got their money back yet?
Better ask Sal that question 🤐

Check out the IW Facebok page. There are loads of supposedly intelligent people complaining that what the new IW needs to succeed is the return of all the other old IW presenters who helped drive the old iteration into the ground.

No irony or sarcasm. These people complain about IW vol.3 being dire, and seriously wants a return to vol. 2, even though viewers stopped buying from it in droves.

There are loads of women complaining about the dearth of fashion ranges that were stocked by the previous IW. They also can't understand why the old version crashed if the fashion shows were so successful. Nobody appears to get that this was probably IW's only successful area of sales, and that you couldn't expect that to carry the whole company.

Which, as it turned out, it couldn't.
