I notice that every designer/stylist raves about having pockets in trousers, cardies, jackets. Rene and Chloe have just gone into raptures over them being in a pair of trousers.

I hate pockets in trousers as I carry my weight on my hips that very last place I need bulky extra pockets. Unless they are very flat and ultra neat the first thing I do is sew them up. Even if I wasn't a chunky monkey I wouldn't put anything in them so for me they are totally surplus to requirement.

Am I alone in this?

I hate slanted side pocket in trousers but for an entirely different reason. I`m tall and you`d be amazed just how many times my trouser pockets catch on the door handles and then I almost trip over. In my particular case they are a health hazard !

Unless it's jeans then no pockets for me. I've got a Lulu Guinness bag for all my stuff, no need to put things in trouser pockets. They always say put your phone in your pocket - no way, far too heavy for all that thin jersey fabric. Or tissues. The packet is in my bag and the used one goes in the bin, not in the pocket.

I agree, not a fan of pockets in trousers. I think they can look very manly and unflattering. Jeans are fine as they have a different style to them.

Did anyone find that DG jeans pockets were a ruddy nuisance, the lining part was far too short to keep tucked in flat - I had to sew those too.

It depends on the style of trousers ..in tailored trousers or jeans as long as they are flat to the body and sit nicely against the body but in harem ( not the ones that look like you have a wet nappy on with gathers down the inner seam ) tapered leg type usually in print I don`t mind them either !! ..I think they look hideous in cardigans when they have gathers and look as though you can fit the kitchen sink in them!!
