This has to be seen to be believed, because otherwise it's UNBELIEVABLE!!!

On Bid TV right now, Peter Simon's selling a "Swarovski Spectra 24K Gold Finish Heaven Sent Worry Angel"...and the rhetoric he's spouting for minutes on end about "worry angels" is quite frankly astonishing. Just a few examples: "The slient wonder of the world", "They're delicious", "May they help you win that fight", etc., etc., etc.

I honestly hope that this sale will turn up on YouTube at some point because it simply has to be one of the most over-the-top sales pitches I've ever seen! Incredible!

:mysmilie_50:

Sounds like Bid are pitching their sale at desperate people looking for something to pin their hope on. Disgusting ~ really disgusting. They'll be selling bottles of 'holy water from Lourdes' next

I thought the same - I've never seem him do such a long pitch :giggle: Some cheap-looking bit of tat is going to look after us, be our best friend, inspire us, help us through difficult times........it was almost spiritual! He's doing some Stephen Gayford print now, which is another complete con. Limited Edition of 35, which he's repeated about 100 times, but then you read the description - Limited Edition Size. So in other words, it's available in different sizes.

I honestly thought I was in the Twilight Zone - he was like some American evangelist preaching from the heavens - maybe they should have had Marina come on - he touches her and she faints?! The 'Worry Angel' was the biggest piece of tat I've ever seen.

What's next???
A miraculous cure for cancer I guess...
How low can you go???? And I do NOT mean prices....
Shame on you Bid!!

The Angel of Vengance is gonna get you, you know lol

I have some more ideas for Bid "Spiritual Tat Hour":

  • Simon Peter Moulded Stress Balls
  • Gold Finished Rubix Cubes
  • Crystal-lux Good Luck Comb
  • Praying Saint Simon Peter Resin Figure
  • Marina Berry Chastity Belt
  • Stephen Gayford Print of Jesus & Simon Peter & Marina Berry in a manger in a stable

You really are deluded if you think this exists

Playing up again are they? Ointment in post in plain wrapper

Of course this thread would drag me out from my dungeon. Looking at your smart new (to me) avatar, wouldn't oinkment be more appropriate? However, I think Paul may get more benefit from these. xxxxxxxxxx

Thank you :giggle: Will need it with Argeybargey's beads. I'll book myself in for an enema too down at the local NHS walk in centre.

How big are they in circumference (See above about oinkment)

From your personal collection, argeybargey?

They'll be fine for sharing with 10% bleach solution :cheeky:

OMG! What if Bid TV sold some anal worry beads:

1) Would they allow them to be returned under their T&Cs?

2) Would they send them out to another victim?

More importantly would Peter Simon demonstrate them?

you can just imagine it "ooooh aaah oh Marina have you felt these? they feel... oooh (laughs) Marina they feel all .... oooh" "I bet our Betty would like some of these ooooh I think one of them has disappeared somewhere..."

In the absence of those sort of worry beads, if you're still curious as to what the "worry angel" actually looked like, here's a link to the product on the Bid TV website (while stocks last of course):

http://store.bid.tv/bidtv/Swarovski...ptations-Range/HO124482/ProductDetail.raction

They're now selling them for £10 less (£14.99) compared to the price that Peter Simon sold it for (obviously his sermon commanded a £10 premium). Basically it's a child's drawing of an angel (presumably plated using the least amount of gold possible) with a bit of grit shoved in its belly, complete with caption to remind its unfortunate owner that this isn't a necklace or pendant.

To be honest, if you told me last week that such a product actually existed I wouldn't have believed you

Is it a "worry angel" because owners end up concerned it's got no arms or legs?

Nah! <a href="http://plugin.smileycentral.com/http%253A%252F%252Fwww.smileycentral.com%252F%253Fpartner%253DZSzeb008%255FZNxpt484YYGB%2526i%253D1%252F1%255F4%255F126%2526feat%253Dprof/page.html" target="_blank"><img src="http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/1/1_4_126.gif" alt="SmileyCentral.com" border="0"><img border="0" src="http://plugin.smileycentral.com/http%253A%252F%252Fimgfarm%252Ecom%252Fimages%252Fnocache%252Ftr%252Ffw%252Fsmiley%252Fsocial%252Egif%253Fi%253D1%252F1_4_126%2526uiv%253D3.0/image.gif"></a> One day the Judge and I were playing his favourite game of "squeek piggy squeek" when I noticed he'd managed to ingeniously fit himself with a little curly tale by the use of what I thought was a ringpull from his coke (he had earlier been muttering something about needing some coke). Just to add a little more fun into the proceedings I decided to lash the ringpull and see if I could catch a hold on it. After quite a few endeavours I eventually managed this but unfortunately on withdrawing the lash I ripped the whole thing out. The Judge screamed and my maid came rushing in thinking one of us had forgotten the "safeword". She then screamed on sight of what she thought was a string of alien's eggs protruding from piggy's backside. "Lorr luvaduck Mistress, what are we to do, should we set them on fire?" Oh how we laughed!
