I had a bad experience with the repair mode. I used to use nail envy but my nails began flaking and peeling. I struggled to get a free edge as they were so weak. I listened to the sales pitch for repair mode, read tons of reviews on Amazon etc and went for it. For the first three months, my nails grew and seem to harden but then, I noticed the white edge was getting lower and lower. I found out my nails were lifting. I googled and found many similar experiences after using the repair mode. I have used Margaret Dabbs nail serum to fix my nails but I will not go back to OPI.
I just wanted to share my experience. I would not touch repair mode with a thousand mile barge pole.

Strangle isn’t it how some products suit some nails and not others. I bought Repair Mode from QVC when it was first launched as I had dry brittle nails that split. One nail had a lng vertical split that I’d tried everything bar getting gels. Used RM for 6 days as advised, nails 100% improved and even the split nail had meshed together. I usually use one coat prior to using nail polish and then every 8 weeks go back to the 6 days regime.

It goes a long way too. I bought two more from Nail Polish Direct for £12.50 each when they had a special offer a few months ago. As I can’t be without it,

However I don’t like the new formula Nail Envy.

Glad it worked for you. It worked for my daughter too but then she had some nail lifting too. But I am glad it helped you.

How to use:
Repair Mode:

  • Apply two times a day on bare nails for six days for maximum efficacy
  • With zero dry time, apply it on the go or even before bed
  • Alternatively, use as a base before applying colour to nails
  • After six days, use Repair Mode once daily
Nail Envy:

  • Apply two coats to bare nails followed by an additional coat daily
  • Remove on day seven if desired
  • To achieve the dream nail routine, apply two coats of Repair Mode, then apply two coats of Nail Envy and finish by moisturising nails and cuticles with your chosen nail oil
Nail Lacquer:

  • Properly prep your natural nail to ensure nail lacquer adhesion
  • Start by applying one coat of your chosen base coat
  • Shake nail polish shade of choice before application to properly mix pigment (this will help avoid streakiness!)
  • Apply two thin coats to each nail. Brush some nail polish at the nail's free edge to cap the nail and help prevent chipping
  • Lastly, apply a top coat

When my nails needed serious attention I used Leighton Denny Renovate it did the job for me better than any other including OPI.
 
The only product I have of Leighton Denny is the crystal nail file which I couldn’t be without. I did try Renovate a few years ago but it made my nails very dry and brittle. I really didn’t get on with LD nail polish, if it lasted 2 hours I was lucky. Gave them all to a friend who could get them to stay on for 4to5 days. I think it all depends on the makeup of your nails. As I’ve been doing my nails since the early 1960s I’ve used many brands but find OPI suit my nails best. Also use Zoya and Morgan Taylor.
