In an Ideal World ...
I remember the old £1 which were actually really good products. For example a bike or a good camcorder, so if you were one of the few to get one you did 100% get a deal of the week.
Fast forward to now and it seems that when you factor in P&P and call charge if you are one of the few, you can get just as good a deal if not better in the shops. An example of this would be the recent Samsung phone. In the shops for near enough the same price but with £10 credit.
Why not go back to the old style ones and believe me word of mouth is the best free ad out there.
Imagine this. Get 10 Samsung Galaxy S3's. Trail them all week then sell them for a £1. You will more than make your money on missed calls and the PR would be awesome. I would be the first to praise you here and I am sure others would.
In the old days you did a mixture of the good and the tat. Now it is just tat.
