My heart is smashed, beaten and trodden on.

My little Dirky, having torn himself away from my bosom and after I helped him to pack his little red spotted hankie on a stick, this morning he broke my heart yet again. He was suggesting that not only may he in fact be more than aged 27, but had picked up an item (under £10 day) and said that ................... (I can hardly utter the dreaded old phrase) "this must be a mistake". I just knew if I let him go to the Smoke he'd start mixing with the wrong crowds. Please don't say he's joined that terrifying WOOPY gang (Worn-Out old Presenter Yelps). Please someone, tell me it isn't so.
