Objective Reviews?

ShoppingTelly

Help Support ShoppingTelly:

I notice QVC are "allowing" reviews of products that people haven't even RECEIVED yet! Yesterday's BE TSV is a case in point. And they did it a couple of weeks ago for that yukky Kim and Co TSV too.

Can't believe they'll post reviews of products not even received, yet objective honest reviews about products that have been tested by the consumer are ignored. Something not right there.

I saw those Birdie!! I think there may have been one for a jewellery item as well. Some were pulled almost as soon as they were posted, but I thought it was daft. Regardless of how good (or bad) an item appears on screen nobody can possibly 'review' it before it's in their possession.

i thought maybe it was from someone who had ordered the TSV early, as some on here do, if the number has been found.

Some may have done so Mrs James but others were just reacting to the screenings as it was obvious from the way the reviews had been worded.

I wondered that Mrs J....but the BE review says something about "looking forward to receiving this".

Very odd.

Sometimes they send out 'samples' for a customer to try - maybe they then review it. A lady rang in last night who they had sent a Slanket to who had been trying it out for over a week.

I'm just watching the presentation of the Slanket. Crazy!!!!!!!

I posted a neg one and they rang me one day to ask me what was wrong with the product so i told them that if they read the review which they obviously had and also removed then i need not repeat myself.

Keep posting your reviews here on ShoppingTelly.com, QVC will not commmunicate with ShoppingTelly.com anymore, but in my opinion a customer would be be better informed here than what is written on the QVC website.

OK Graham. Thanks for that.

Well they do leave some negative reviews as Charlie has just been on flogging a necklace that has three one star reviews! To be fair the problem was that it caught on people's hair and he did say that.

I emailed QVC about a review where the reviewer had not actually bought the item but had seen the video on QVC US. I thought they shouldn't post reviews if someone openly states they haven't bought the item (unsurprisingly this was a 5 star review) though I don't suppose you can stop someone reviewing an item they have not got if they don't own up.

This is the reply:

Thank you for contacting QVC UK.

We allow any customer to leave a review of any item on QVC if they have
bought it or not. This can be portrayed as viewed on-line in this case on
QVCUS, or watching the presentation on air or web.

Our facility to have customers to call our studio and review items on air
is similar to this.

If we can provide any other assistance, please do not hesitate to contact
QVC UK.

Thank you for e-Mailing QVC UK.

Regards,

James.

So if you don't like Kim and Co, Quacker, Indigo Moon, Michelle Hope or any of the other products feel free to post negative reviews even if you haven't bought any of the items. I'm sure they will all apppear on the website!:18:

I have just gone back to the Anna Griffin TSV and someone has left a 1* review saying it's too expensive and disappointing. Maybe I was being too cynical.
