I have severe osteoporosis and take Vitamin D supplements. My hospital specialist told me that I need to get out in the sun as much as I can. I had to point out that, in Britain, that's not as easy as it sounds! Funnily enough though, I read a similar thing a little while ago and it also said that a lot of people could be feeling tired and fatigued due to lack of Vit. D. A problem which is exacerbated by the modern lifestyle of being indoors so much of the time - home, to car, to office, to mall, to car, to home etc.. Just as an aside, vitamin D is actually a hormone and is best taken with calcium but it's best to check with your doctor first as you could make yourself unwell by taking too much.
