Who's waiting up for the Northern Nights TSV, I wonder what delights they have in store for us...

Any pornographic stroking of sheets, pounding of pillows, etc... and I am switching off..:sleepy:

Just me then.....lol

Like it, but the website says its completely sold out at 6 minutes in!!

I hate the combination of these sets because I have a double bed with a kingsize duvet so they are useless for me and I'm sure I'm not alone with this type of arrangement!

My mum has the same arrangment and you're right it is a bit of a pain for her, they should let you choose your own combinations.

Yep I agree too. I dont know anyone who has a double duvet on a double bed, everyone I know always gets the next size up for their bed. I ONCE slept on a single bed with a single duvet - never again, I had a cold bum all night !!!!! so it would be perfect to choose your own combinations.

I've said before these sets are useless.
We've got one double bed
two 4ft beds (bought for sleepovers)
all with KS duvets.
We like the drape lol

Not only are you unable to mix and match the sizes, but who pays over £100 for bedding, even on easy pay it is a lot .
There are lots of people who are feeling the pinch money wise and that sort of money would go along way on household expenses.
Not as glamorous but far more practical.
I LOVE my NN down duvet and wouldn't be with out it, but am quite happy with the bedding I brought from Asda for £13.00.
It is a much nicer design than the NN's offering even if it is only polly/cotton, it drys very quickly both on the line and in the dryer which makes changing the bed a cinch.
And I can buy a double sheet and a king size duvet cover plus extra pillow cases if I need them.
I will go away and hide now I have admitted to buying my bedding in Asda not even on the dreaded high street.

Kingsize bed, kingsize duvet here. Like the TSV but it's not really a TSV price, is it? I got a NN cream 500TC set several months ago for about 70 something quid in king size. It's very similar and we have a duck egg blue flanell ser for the winter, and a tumble drier plus a spare set that we had before buying the NN ones. I was a bit tempted but I honestly think we don't need any more bedding, and the money can go to better use.

The quality of NN is very good, and I can tell the difference with a higher TC. If I hadn 't already got some and had been lusting for a while I would have gone for this.

I am waiting for Super Sunday as Kitchen Aid is featuring. My hubby said we could get one after I spent 5 hours over 2 days chopping, squeezing, skinning, dicing, marinading and baking for just one meal for 6!

i have bought 2 nn high thread count eygptian cotton duvet sets and imao they are the worst bedding sets i have ever owned. one i returned in disgust. the other i gave away to a young friend in need. they fade and crease so look really really cheap on the bed. £100 in the high street sale, house of fraser, fenwicks even m&s autograph at sale time will get me dream bedding that is lofty.soft and does not look like rags on the bed. love the duvets and some of the firmer pillows though nn do these well!

Still on website this morning not showing wait list either. I have never bought NN as it is far too expensive and they are making even more money by charging the same price for all sizes. I would not buy it on principal as you can buy bedding anywhere in any combination of sizes and they are usually priced according to size with the single size being cheapest.

I'm waiting for a microfleece duvet set. One of those Cozee homes ones for the winter. BTW I have a kingsize bed with a double winter duvet (too mean to upgrade my perfectly good quality double winter duvet).

Meeee, I have a double quilt on a double bed, like to be able to get my tutsies out of bed in night if i get too warm. Does that make me antiquated??

Me too! I have single bedlinen. I have a daybed with 3 sides so don't have to worry about overhang ... apart from my rear end, that is. What irks me is paying the same price for a set as superking, for half the fabric and only 1 pillowcase. grrr I love my single silk duvet from t'other channel. I use Slanket sometimes as a covering, lovely and snuggly.

No, but you can stick your feet out with any size duvet. I'm only a little dwt, but I hate draughts in winter.

I bought a double fitted sheet in Shaws yesterday for £6.95. Bargain!
TX Max is another place for bed bargains.

It's not just bedding though is it.
Jewellery too. I have to pay the same price for ring size I/J as someone who buys at the other end of the size range.
A lot more metal for the same price

I used to have a double bed and kingsize duvet and bought NN kingsize,
because the sheet is elasticated it still fitted fine.
Glad I did because when we got a kingsize bed I could still use the same bedding.

I havent seen the TSV aired but from the website it looks quite nice but its still too cold for cotton bedding,
I still need my flannel

Totally agree Bluebell, I have my Evelyn NN Flannel set on the bed today with a throw to boot! However I am expecting a wonderful Summer and so have ordered the cream set of todays TSV - love the look of it, my duvet size is the same as the bed size, so I am OK there but I do think they should do a 'choose your combination' tsv.

I keep toying with the whole bolster business, its £30 odd pounds for 2 but seems too much to pay just for a 'look' and I'm not really convinced...

I've recently changed from a double duvet on a double bed to a kingsize duvet on a double bed.I'd put it off,as I love all my NN bedding...but just fed up with being cold and DH nicking all the covers.

I never thought the size would make that much difference....but its a massive difference..I'm loving it :clapping:

However that made all my NN double duvet covers redundant .....my worst fear....I love my bedding and had built up quite a collection.

But I had to bite the bullet and to go with my (M&S) kingsize duvet..I bought a duvet cover & 2 pillocases in BHS for about £37 and another set in TKMaxx for about £25.I was originally a bit snobby about it as they had polyester in them....but you have to cut your cloth according to your means and all that!!

The bedding does feel different to my NN but I've got used to it.Even made me think maybe I've been a bit of a mug all these years to buy NN?? I love the TSV today...particularly the Lilac...but I can't afford it.Even if had talked myself into it,which I may have done even a couple of weeks ago..my DH from yesterday is now living with the nightmare of being made redundant ...so thats enough for me to put my spending into perspective :( Oh and the nearly £8 delivery!!!!!!!

So much on QVC is just plain snobbery. I will not buy anything from anywhere unless it is functional, a good price and will last for a long time.

I do have some Northern Nights but only bought when at sale price of from one of the outlet stores. I have a double bed with double bedding. When I got divorced I just didn't see the point of upgrading to a king size bed and am certainly not going to buy all new king size accessories.

I find the Fenn Wright Manson Egyptian cotton bedding from TK Maxx is very good and also the flannelette duvet covers and sheets from Dunelm Mill is excellent quality and is actually thicker and warmer than NN and still has the deep fitted sheets. Yes it was the deep fitted sheets which first drew me to NN but now I have found the others I shall not buy again I don't think.

I do like to have a comfortable bed so I have a down on top feather bed and a memory foam mattress underneath and Dunlop Serenity foam pillows but the feather bed is very heavy to fluff up all the time so maybe I would not buy another. I have to used either a deep fitted sheet with all my under mattresses or a king size normal fitted sheet if it is bought from a supermarket or elsewhere.

My daughter moved house in December and had a new super king size bed and was finding buying all new bedding very expensive. As a house warming present for her, I bought her a taupe and black bedding set from Dunelm Mill complete with housewife, Oxford, and bolster pillowcases. She adores them.

I fail to see why QVC have to have a bottom sheet in every set...I'm drowning in bottom sheets.....I would much prefer just the 2 pillowcases and the duvet cover...and a "slimmer" price as a result!!!

QVC used to this with NN and call it a "mini set" wonder why they stopped
