QVC presenters have had a competition to grow the best pot of lilies and this morning Dale was declared the winner. He had the honour of naming the new strain and decided on "Ruby Dale" bless him.
What I'm jealous of is the fact that photos were shown of the presenters with their lilies and they all looked perfect, not one ragged leaf nor hole-y petal in sight (the flowers that is, not the presenters) I'd love to know the secret of how they all keep the uber-pest known as lily beetle away from their gardens ?
Have they discovered a bug-resistant strain of lilies, does RJ's bug spray stuff actually work, or have they employed some slight-of-hand ? :call:
