I don't think so Danny darling. You can hard sell it as much as you like and I wouldn't be surprised if uber-sell Debbie Flint isn't enlisted to shift some units omorrow, but I for one wouldn't pay that money for a crappy brand like HP. Sorry!

For £50 more you could have a MacBook Air or £200 a MacBook Pro. Why on earth would anyone spend £800 on a craptop?

I like Danny, he seems very friendly and sincere. Yes i know he"s selling the brand, but he"s better than Lee.
They have HP in the hospital were i work. And few years ago, i bought my son a lap top like that, as a suprise,
and he loved it. Believe it or not i didn"t really know about Apple, i do now

It's a fair price it has to be said,a scout around the web will surely get you a much better deal.

I invested in a lappy a couple of months ago after being tied to a desktop for years.Managed to get one with specs not too disimilar to today's offering(same processor, ram, slightly less storage and no blu ray).........got it for half the price(£380).......there are good deals out there if you do not require EP.

I even manage to post on here although it's one of those despised craptops as so eloquently described by some threads contributors!:wonder:

Edit:mine is a DV6 15.6"........so smaller screen but I still got a lot of spec for my money

£800 seems expensive. I have got an HP Mini netbook. Have had it for exactly one year and it has been fine. Only cost about £220 (but a friend got it for me with her Argos staff discount!). My previous netbook was a cheapie from Elonex (Websurfer) (or in actual fact their sister brand Sylvania, as I found out when I opened the box). My next netbook will be 4GB RAM and much better! I will wait for this one to die first. Not how sure a netbook is supposed to last for. I think 2 years would be a reasonable time frame.

ll've never had a computer die on me. I usually get fed up with them because they are not fast enough with the new software. One of my work ones did have a hard disk fatal crash due to some new s/w but got fixed

That's good! I have had my desktop PC (from Medion) for 10 years now and it works perfectly! I think laptops generally have a lower lifespan, but am not sure. This HP Mini netbook is good though. It has a "Beats" audio system, which I think is a bit of a gimmick, but the whole thing is well-designed. It has about 7 hours' battery life, which is great when I go out to Brighton for the day, and the whole thing has a very quality feel to it.
