Not a fan of chunky shoes and biker boots. Listening to the presentation, I'm living in a parallel universe of listening to the emperors new clothes. Descriptions of beautiful bikers worn with floaty skirts may sit well with some - but not me. I think whoever dreamt up this style of fashion must have run out of ideas at the drawing board and doodled for a laugh.

I don't see many over 60s (or 40s and 50s for that matter) stomping around the "Co-op" here in rural Britain - must be a city thing.

Well I live not far from Birmingham city centre and whenever I am out and about for work or leisure I never see these biker type boots with floaty dresses or skirts, I do see a lot of females with clumpy trainers with summery type dresses however, a look i have never liked but each to their own.

The majority of my friends are senior citizens. A good number of them (including me) need wide or extra wide (E-EEE) fit shoes. We buy Clark’s, Hotter and DB shoes.
I would say that 99% of my shoes have lace up or Velcro fastenings. As I usually wear trousers they look ok.

These days I mostly wear slippers, good old fashioned fully enclosed ones.. Mind you I’ve always worn this type of slipper as could never keep the mule type ones on. These days more for safety as not as stable on the old pins as I was. Another reason I wear trousers is I don’t want to show my knickers if I should fall over!

Never have been a strict follower of fashion, prefer to be smart and comfortable.
