Found this on Money Saving Expert from 2008 the link to Bid tv Megadrops is no longer available but a user has posted this I have highlighted the interesting bit.

£1 Auctions/Megadrops Terms & Conditions:
To be included in the sale, pre-bids must be ABOVE the 'now at' price when the Megadrop is announced. Pre-bids BELOW the 'now at' price when the Megadrop is announced will not be included in the sale. sit-up channels also reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to cancel or refuse bids and bar the accounts of customers who win more than one £1 Auction/Megadrop during any one week
