I have no doubt that companies need to provide their product for free and I would suspect that they have to pay some sort of license fee to promote any winning position that they may achieve. Got to hand it to Jo Fairley, she knows how to make money, and I do mean that as a compliment. She's started two very successful businesses, she certainly knows how to spot an opportunity and run with it.

That's really out of order isn't it! Why didn't they just tell Clarins that they weren't going to accept it? The authors have a lot of clout in the industry. Sounds like your skin suffered too but at least you learnt from it I suppose! Also, I've heard Ali Young a lot more recently than 5 years ago talk about it being blind testing so she's lied or she didn't know herself.

I have a copy of the very first Beauty Bible, they even mention that some brands only sent products in the original packaging, Clarins was one. Clarins was then and is still a multi million company, they do what they want.

Funny the best product I tested was Sainsbury's own brand at a few pounds, they had a organic range and it was the cleanser. I loved it and then found out my local branch did not sell it!!!! DOH!!!!

That is why people really love the testing and sign up. The chance to try the big high end brands. The thing you read most from people testing is how much they products they get are worth.

You lot are hilarious and make the best observations! I'm new to the forum but have always watched, and think exactly whatnot lot dare to say! It's hilarious! As is lulus range - oh how ironic it is! But hey if it works for you.... Won't be getting my hard earned pennies and pounds that's for sure. Have a lot more faith in Michelle of alpha h to be honest.. At least the story sounds feasible and I can relate to it. Not that I have money to buy a company I like the look of or anything!
