Here's another one, this is tricky:-

"This is from New York, from Wall Street. From Rome, from Paris. From the cities of the world, from Tokyo and the Dax Index. Not only from London and the financial institutions. The wealth, the power"

sounds like simon but is potentially russell based on the final line.

I see where you are coming from with Russell but your original guess is correct.

But what was he selling?

now it aint russell its potentially sherlock

i have no idea on the exact product, i'd guess on it being a watch.

Im all over the place with my thinking admittedly.

You were right when you said Dirty Peter.

But regarding the actual item the clues are in the words he said albeit with a very liberal serving of bullshit. You are very much along the right lines though.

I don't remember that brand at all but it sounds delicious :giggle: They sure used to get away with murder didn't they? Not anymore! Now, let's see if you can guess who this is and what the item is.

"I'm impassioned by this. I adore it. It is simply spectacular. Ladies, this is a must have. Not only with vision of light of beauty, not only with the look. You have got here not only with the gold tone you have got the light that captures a moment, the state of the art. It is not only delivered and creating an impact. THIS is beautiful"

Some brass effort licked with gold coloured paint?

It was actually gold plated base metal although at times you would have been forgiven for thinking it was solid gold.

But what was the main 'feature' of this piece. Look at his words!

A lump of sar-war-ski crystal?

Yes, it was indeed a very large lump of Saworfski on a pendant that would typically be seen on a mysterious woman in a fairground whose hands are surrounding a crystal ball.

It was vile.

Hey I'm good at this

You have to give it to Peter, he is the master. He has his persona so well honed, even down to deliberately mispronouncing brand names he has sold a thousand times to put across that bumbling image that we all know couldn't be further from reality. He was also selling a Kelvin Klein shirt as well

Just before he handed over to Bo' Selecta he only had a minute or so left on his final item but the director wanted to cut away to Sally to give a quick reminder that she'll be on at 7.30pm. Jeez, he wasn't happy. Just before the camera panned to Sally he looked over at her with a face like thunder and said 'I only have 50 seconds left'.

It's scary that he dosen't seem able to control it even when he must know we can see what he's saying!

'What we've got here is the richness, the darkness, the sassy, the vulnerable, this wonderful interpretation of a woman that enters a room and the room just goes Ohh! This is the openness of a fragrance that explodes with the vascity and beauty, it is sooooo extraordinary you will thrill to this'

No prizes for guessing who said it, or what he was selling.

Peter Simon selling Jeyes fluid?!

That's a good call Merry but it was actually another Australian smell that was from the same stable as the (Not M&S) Bohemia.

Strangely this one also had a very similar sounding name to another well known fragrance. It was called 'Adore', let's hope people don't think it's J'Adore.
