Has anyone else found that the zip opening of Kipling bags of late are being made narrower ? I've bought a couple over the last 6 months, and compared to ones I've bought in years past, the bag openings are much harder to get into. Its only when you use a bag that any irritations become noticeable, and this is what happened to me. I've got cross body ones and when out shopping I find I'm struggling to get items in and out of the bag, because the zip closing isn't very wide.

I've dug out some of my older styles and yes, the zipper goes a good way down the ends of the bag, so the bags open wide giving easy access - and these are both grab and cross body. Is it me ? or is Kipling quality not as it once was.

For me, Kipling has gone from a must-view programme to boring. I used to watch or record all their programmes but now I just can't be bothered. I don't know about the more recent styles because I haven't bought any but I do know that I used to love the long and strong zips on my (older) Kipling bags, hence the ones I've sold from my "collection" are the more recent ones. What I do hate, though, are the zips they cut corners and manufacturing expenses where the zip hangs out beyond the bag. Ugh. Just buy a shorter zip and sew it in, Kipling, please. Surely that would make sense. Or maybe that's what they're doing, hence the smaller openings. It's a design fault.

PS - the word "collection" doesn't seem to be the buzzword it once was on QVC. Praise the Lord!

Yes, I agree, the styles of my older ones are all different - not like the similar style /different patterns one they churn out now.

They did the 'city' range, and Guerilla Girlz (I think), I even have 2 sequined cross body ones (in green and silver - great for evening) the likes of which we will never see again I think ; I have a beige linen tote bag with gold leather trim and lilac lining with attached matching purse, also a red heart shaped backpack, and my best one of all - a large travel bag that has a suitcase flap for sliding over the suitcase handle - rarer than hen's teeth now !

The 'new' designers seem to lack the creativity of years past - unless their products abroad are wildly different to what we are offered in Britain. But despite the spots/birds/stripes/flowers in either durgey colours or zingy oranges and fuschia, this range needs to be more exciting before I buy into it again.

I still watch Kipling & want, want, want to find something to excite me that I can't resist to purchase.I don't because nothing really grabs me as in the past.It may be I have been buying for years & you reach the boredom phase ( the same has happened with Honora) they are lovely bags & still have the appeal that drew me to buy in the first place, functional & lightweight but the designs are just variations on the basic range. It is difficult to keep 'old' customers (don't necessarily mean age!) but keep them wanting ( & buying!) the product.Perhaps Kipling should introduce 'short runs' of innovative ranges?
