Saw the Kipling Suitcase on Q yesterday and wondered if anyone on here had any comments on it. Looking for a light, well-made suitcase for whenever I have EnoughOomph to take a holiday. Thanks in advance for your help. x Snarly
this is my opinion. when i do long haul or flying i always use a high quality suitcase my preferance being a hard case. if i am travelling by coach or train i use lightweight cases i dont have a kipling one yet but i am thinking of buying one in the winter sales as it looked nice.
I bought a pink semi hard shell Dunlop suitcase from a sports store about 8 years ago. I was working on the assumption it wouldn't last but wasn't expensive so it didn't matter. It's been amazing. It's been bashed and battered but its still going strong and because it wasn't expensive I don't panic when it has a boot print on it.
It's lightweight, expandable and very distinctive. I love the fact that I can spot it being on and off loaded at random airports. Never seen another case like it.
hard shells are better for flying as they tend to chuck them about when loding them. also i had a problem with a case i bought in john lewis and they would not exchange cases damaged by airport staff. my hard shell delseys have never let me down in 30 years of travel.
I have had my Kipling suitcase for about three years now and I really like it, it's well- made, sturdy and easy to pack. I also have a Delsey hard shell case which I love too:grin:

She bought it for a skiing holiday on Ryan Air so needed an ultra-light bag but has used it for every holiday since and has even taken it to festivals packed with food and booze.
