How can someone make something intresting sound so boring? Talking about Ammolite, I wonder how many people switch off before he sells the first item.

I am watching him now, and although he may stand 6 foot 4 inches tall, that is about all that is interesting about this chappie.
Has he always been , how shall I put it, "dull".
What I will say for him is that if I am watching him for much longer (it is 1.38am) he will send me off to sleep!

Crikey 1.38, I gave up well before that and was only watching to hear what rubbish he spouted about Ammolite, a man who has worked for shopping telly and a so called Jewellery expert think the Aurora Mine is the only mine, his producer Thea worked with Ken for many years at Ideal World so I am sure Mr Russell knows about Korite.

I didn't even try. Had a nice early night with a film after the very good, but desperately slow, Italian hours. Couldn't face him. xxx
same here turned off after the italian hours would of liked some earring in murano but they didn't seem to have many. I got the rosso e oro pendent and would like the earrings to match!! I noticed that the shop had cheaper prices too. You all do a splendid job with your info and knowledge esp Argy klosblue and meeshoo thanks xxx

2 points to mention Graham:
[1] Do we assume (or not) that Ideal World have given up flogging off this particular type of gem, since they (Ideal World) have quite a lot of different gems suppliers working with them already?
[2] I ended up watching the brilliant (NOT !) :mysmilie_34: James last night because the midnight till 2am slot is the only chance I get to see gemsTV as I only have freeview. Where did the marvellous (NOT!) James work before I wonder?

I'm going to stick my head above the parapet here and say that James has actually grown on me a little bit. At first he was doing all those silly wee intakes of breath and verbal tics that drove me mad, but he seems to have calmed all that down and he's not half so annoying. Or is this just Stockholm Syndrome???
At he's not a screamer like Lucy and Angeline (was she always like that, or was she just playing up for the Italian guests the other night? They must have all needed a lie-down after that show was over.)

James Russell previously worked on the "Sit-up" channels, Bid tv, price drop tv etc. He was a load of rubbish on there too imvho.

WEll, I just ordered a wee amethyst piece and as soon as I dialled the number James was saying "Hello Kirsten. How are you, Kirsten?", and i must confess i got quite a thrill! And I'm quite looking forward to seeing the ring, as one of my minor missions in life is to collect 1ct solitaires in yellow gold, so far I've got Tocantins Garnet (stunning) and a Neptune Topaz, as well as my 1ct solitaire diamond engagement ring.

That is exciting. I too have too much time on my hands. When I have heard my name after placing order and had the odd hello etc. I have taped it. After a few glasses of wine, it's hilarious (but only to my family) Hope you enjoy your amethyst.

i was a bit bored this evening, so re acquainted myself with shopping telly and this forum. i read all the stuff about james russell and was surprised. i used to like him on bid tv, and caught him on gems, i hate to say it, but..i really like him. the only thing i find a bit odd about him, is that hair style he sports now..its a bit too peter sherlock..and it doesnt suit him either. liking the open shirt tho..maybe i need therapy.
