They look weirdly childish, but I'm intrigued!
They could make a useful Christmas present for at least one on my list.

Years ago I had scissors that did all kinds of things like open jars/bottles and it had a stabby thing on it to pierce plastic etc. No idea what happened to those ones but they were useful.
