OMG julie I cant believe that they have done that to you, maybe you can look back on it and think thank god you wont have to spend anymore of your money on their drivel, go spend your money elsewhere hun i for one will not order from them again in fact i think i'll fill my basket with the most expensive carp i can find on there, leave it for a few days then empty it. Make sure you complain hun, no wonder gems are going downhill if this is how they treat their customers, my blood is boiling for you hun, i hope you find some lovely pieces elsewhere, at much higher quality and better value xxx big hugs xxx

Even if you cancelled the orders, is that not your choice; sometimes something crops up that you didnt make allowances for; an unexpected bill, or maybe the money hasnt been paid into the bank as you expected, you know that i know that, but i think at the moment gems have got so up themselves that they forget that out here on the street, life happens; it doesnt always go they way that gems think it should; and after all in these days we are facing a credit crunch. They should expect that a customer may change their minds, i didnt think that it was a capital punishment, yet, to change ones mind about an order. I worked at a local shop, and our code there was "The customer is always right", treat customers curtesly and politely and they will always come back; if you are rude to a customer, they will remember that, and wont come back. But how rude of them to tell you, you cannot order anymore, i thought gems was all about customer care - doesnt seem so now. I have read peoples replies on this, and it seems you have shopped with them for ages - well it is not they who should be telling you, that you cant shop with them - I think you should tell them they aint good enough to have your continued custom. xxx:flower:
 
How to win friends and influence people! Even if your rates of return/cancellation were exceptionally high, I would have thought common decency should lead them to contact you to discuss the situation in person and to come to some sort of amicable, mutually acceptable agreement. This company is a shadow of its former self and I do sometimes wonder if the presenters knew about all these goings-on, whether they would be ashamed to work for such a shambles (assuming they have any morals that it). So sorry this has happened to you Julie.

Perhaps you should take a look at the offerings of Beads by Belles, you can have pieces made to order but I'm not sure what their CS will be like though... :lol: :creeps:

Julie, I think it's absolutely disgraceful to treat you in this way, as everyone else has said, they're quick enough to tell people to buy because they offer a no quibble money back guarantee. I can remember the old days when lots of people on here used to fill their baskets every week, then cull them before they checked - surely that's the same thing as cancelling? It's a lot less hassle for them for a customer to cancel before an item is shipped than it is for them to receive an item back and have to deal with that.

There are other places to spend your hard earned money, they don't deserve your custom.

I think that's just a standard circular. I've had one too.

Have you contacted them at all yet. If not, would you like me to mail my CS lady, she's very sweet and speedy. They won't deal with me directly for your safety and privacy, but I could ask her to look into it and let you know exactly what the problem is? Hope that's not patronising, it's just that I know it can be difficult dealing with people direct, when you are upset and this lady, Anna, is very easy to speak to. If you would like me to do this just PM me with your customer number if you have it, and I'll pick it up from there. If you'd rather I didn't then just ignore this.

It's hard to let something like this just go when you have been dealing with, and previously enjoyed, a company for a long time.
