.... I spend £30 or more.

But the only item I want at the moment costs £29-98, so 2P short.

I rang Q CS but they are so inflexible that "nothing can be done", not even my suggestion of me paying 2P extra for them, as a phone order.

Any ideas?

Ask to speak to the manager and remind them that you could have bought a couple of cars with the money you’ve given them and do they really want to lose your custom for 2p? Not to mention the stink you could cause on social media. They should be on their knees to you.

I couldn’t bring myself to argue it out with them, what you want is bound to be somewhere else.I would rather pay a bit more rather than try and persuade QVC.

I tried again, speaking to a different CS member, and she spoke to a manager, but I got the same result.

It is so inflexible, I want to give them MORE MONEY, an extra 2p!!

I know it wouldn't be possible to order online and pay extra, but I thought they could do it over the phone, even if they had to throw the extra 2P away.

I'm sure if I went into a shop, they would take an extra 2P, they could put it into their charity box ;)

I better check my voucher - sure it says £20.01 or more for my £5 off?

The first one they sent I didn’t use so they’ve sent me a second one! They must really miss me! ;)

As for the shears, I bought the original versions several years back (new but off eBay!) and then bought a second lot for gifts.
Mine are still going strong and love them.

However, another set came out a couple of years back I think it was, and they’d changed the design and the reviews were awful...
So maybe it’s a bit suss that there no reviews of this set yet - I know it’s because they’re new! - but maybe they’ve changed them again (they do look quite different to mine) and they’re rubbish!
(They maybe amazing but trying to make you feel better!

Perhaps Kuhn Rikon will do Black Friday deals direct??

I think most companies would be as inflexible

I've got to agree with you there. My catalogue has a strict rule regarding their "buy now pay later" threshold - If you're a penny shy, you won't qualify. Big difference though ,because on the occasions where this has happened to me, I can add a cheapy item (eg, a £3 pair of socks) to bring it up to the required amount. Q don't do "cheapy" items and even if you found something in clearance, you'd still have to pay an extra lot of p&p. My catalogue charges a flat rate of £3.99 per order, as do other retailers of which some charge even less, or even nothing!
But as Donna suggested, if it's something you really want and it's the cheapest option, just buy it - ignore the £5 voucher (which is a pretty ungenerous amount anyway)!

They used to give and perhaps still do the £5 off £20.

Just ignore the £5 off if you really want the item and if Q is the cheapest, buy it.

I would have bought something else to add for it, if it wasn't for the extra PP.

In fact, I found something I would use in clearance for £6-84, but completely unviable when you add £3-95 PP on top, almost 60% of the item price.

it stands to reason really. After all, when you order anything on line there’s no human input, just computer software. And clever as they are, computers only deal with what they’ve been programmed to deal with.
Even if you’re phoning through an order and speaking to someone, they’ll just be inputting the same info.
I might not have put this as clearly as I should, but I know what I mean.😏

QVC is so expensive now and the quality is getting worse. TSV are way overpriced and a load of tat. Look at the MW tsv yesterday. QVC have a so called premium brand so they do a TSV thats very poor quality and think we won't see the difference. Pathetic really.
