Did anyone else get his machine from QVC? I love it, but when I work it hard i.e. uploading 25Gb's on files to my documents, or backing up a lot of stuff it crashes. I've installed a temperarure monitor, and it seems to be when it get around 54/55 degrees core temperarure. According to my research the cpu should be able to work up to 115 degrees. I have a laptop cooler on it, but it doesn't seem to help much. I bought this in late November on the first Christmas shopping weekend, so I have until Jan 25th to send it back, but apart from this problem it's a wondeful machine, so I don't really want to get rid of it. If it's just a problem with my particular machine I will get a replacement. Does anyone else have this problem?

Thank you Simon, it has also a couple of times rebooted itself even when it's idle. I think I will ring QVC to see if they can send me a replacement when they have new stock in. It's obviously not quite right which is a nuisance as I've spent a lot of time setting it up, and loading my documents etc on it.

if it was that super bargain price one on 4 easy pays no: 564214 then it wont be back in stock as it was a super bargain price which means when the stock has gone the item wont be back

Problems like these are almost impossible to diagnose without seeing for real. Personally I would get it replaced (not fixed, but replaced under SoG)

Good luck, Rich
