Gorgeous little hedgehog. We've got one who visits us for the cat food lol. It's quite small too.

Have you ever heard them courting? (That word "courting" - cracks my daughters up lol)
When we first moved to this area it was really creepy. So quiet, unnatural.
Lying in bed one summer night, unable to sleep I heard this constant breathy sound outside. I thought maybe we had an asthmatic knicker pincher who was putting his all into his theft, but it went on for too long.
Animal?
Eventually, freaked, I woke Lazarus and we went to the window. Nothing.
Nothing for it but the torch - outside, now!
And there they were. Two hedgehogs going round and round in circles.

[Frazzled]

One very warm summer evening (years ago!), we could hear all this grunting and shuffling coming from near the open back door. It was a family of hedgehogs, 2 adults with two little-un's. We followed them for a while, it was fascinating.
