Yes, they said that on FB. You are not allowed to review something you have not received. I said well what about Elemis, Decleor etc, reviews where people are raving about it and stating they cannot wait for it to arrive. I checked this morning and my comment has disappeared.

I don't know how many they expected to sell but about 25,000 doesn't seem bad to me. I watched the late presentation with AY and she seemed particularly desperate to get people to buy. I thought the demo was verging on ridiculous. At one point Andrew produced a 75 ml tube and told us that even when the handcream seems nearly used up there will still be this much left. Wow, goodness gracious, who'd have thought it. Must rush to the phone instantly.

I like the lip product but no way is it worth £28 to me. I like the texture of it but can't say I've noticed any plumping benefits. Their pricing is ridiculous and just devalues the tsv deal. If a pot of something is 'worth' £150 there is no way that we can buy it for £60 with a slack handful of other goodies thrown in as well.

Exactly. It may have an RRP of £150.00, but that doesn't mean anything really does it?
The mark up on these items must be ridiculous IMO.

I would imagine 25,000 is a lot for the rest of the year but for the Xmas TSV and with value adding up to £263 "supposedly" isn't that many , im sure it will be back at an introductory price next week, but if the reviews keeping coming in like that already have done they may struggle with this ex TSV.

Precisely my thoughts too. QVC never offer anything half price, and yet the normal Q price is £87 ???

All this hiking up of prices reminds me of a certain Auction channel that did the same thing, and eventually went bust (Auction World - remember that one ?)

Back in the days QVC did more craft items there was a review of a craft TSV before it had gone on sale, surprisingly it was singing the prodicts praises, and I emailed QVC to query this. The reply was that you did not have to buy the item to submit a review but could give your opinion based on seeing the presentation or looking on the website. It's funny how the story changes when the review isn't a good one.

Yes, I fear the worst if QVC have seriously overstocked. Shades of the earlier Elemis tsv. They better not bang on about the 2 year shelf life six months down the line.

I was not taken in at all by the hype about that serum, or the claim that Gatineau is next to la prairie in Paris dept stores. I would have been tempted with the supersize hand cream, the lip product snd a floracil, for a reasonable price in the low 30's. Not interested in the anti-aging products whatsoever.

So it is still on sale and JF just said the reason we still have it is you still want it. Wouldn't it be be that we didn't actually want it enough?

The only items I want from this are the massive handcream and the lip product. I sold a few bits and bobs and just got the 400ml handcream on ebay for £19 with free delivery. Now all I need is a bargain for the lip product. I have no interest in the moisturiser or serum or the bag, and prefer free delivery. My point is that most people will only be interested in one or 2 items. So the target market for the former TSV is already a narrow one as not many folkes will want it all. Ebay wins with these sets or components thereof. Q's price is just prohibitive.

I've sent mine back last week as I didn't see the difference with the serum and the face cream and I have products that perform better. Could not resist to try the very expensive serum and feel better for it but was underwhelmed or my skin didn't need it.

Lately I've noticed a new hectoring note creeping into some presentations along the lines of 'YOU asked us for this' the implication being that you now have a duty to buy it.

I am glad someone else has thought this! Some time ago Julia presented a dress with sleeves, made especially as Q customers had requested more items with them. She then said, and I paraphrase but pretty closely, so you asked for it, we have done it for you, so if you do not buy it we will not be doing that again. Well obviously no retailer wants to stock things people will not buy, whatever it is, but that should go without saying and I thought the way she made her comment was quite unpleasant and, as you say, hectoring. I mean it just did not come over to me as a lighthearted comment but, you had better bloody well buy this now!!!!!

Also, like Marina, I found no improvement with the AB serum. Luckily it was in a TSV where it was not the main item so no actual loss.
