Tiana B gives me the screaming abdabs. I think there are 8 or 9 hours in the schedule over yesterday and today, mostly today. Can't QVC find any other "fashion" to air? And why do we have to listen to the same clap trap on every single show. Twice I've turned on to see what's on air and both times I've seen the same item and heard the same patter. Most of which seems to be declaring that this is the perfect thing to wear at the captain's table. Oh sure, we all do that every day don't we. And any discerning captain would make you walk the plank if you showed up on his vessel wearing any of this carp. Print Fusion - all the same. Kim and Co - all the same. Michelle Hope - all the same. I could go on but you get the point.

Who wears this stuff anyway? I was in Brighton yesterday and didn't see a single person wearing a dress - everyone wears separates, mostly t-shirts and jeans. I'm sure most people wouldn't buy this just for a holiday. So fed up with American designers.

While I'm in a moaning mood (sorry everyone!) I've noticed that the overall quality of the garments is decreasing. I ordered a Quacker denim shirt, it wasn't cheapy cheap and, to be fair, was actually quite nice for what it was but I noticed that the item didn't come with the special Quacker labels and there was no spare rhinestone or stud. They always used to supply those - was mine just a one off or is that normal now? I presume to cut costs. It's having to go back regardless - I ordered a small and it absolutely swamps me and the sleeves are long enough for an orangutan! I always used to order a small and they've always fitted perfectly.

I only watch the "fashion" for a laugh, mostly it is ghastly, garish tat. Overpriced with extortianate p and p and at 5ft 7 far too short for somone like me who does not have legs worth showing off. Then factor in that most of it is made of synthetic fabrics covered in flounces and lurid patterns,none of it is to my taste. I do like dresses in the Summer, just not from QVC. Trouble is I can't see any English designer wanting to compromise their credibilty by hooking up with Q. Maybe Madam Hoppen has a mate in need of some cash? At least it might be plain!

I have to admit too that I just watch the fashion shows on QVC for a good old laugh...well it puts a smile on my face anyhow:cheeky:

It is a well known fact that America is way behind most of the World when it comes to fashion. Obviously because QVC is an American based company they automatically assume that we Brits are falling over ourselves to wear the stuff they send over the pond to us:dull:

Tiana B presenter said that it's over 100degrees in New York this week and one of these dresses would be perfect to wear for work! No thanks, I would be dead before I reached the front door in that man-made stuff.

Whatever people think of the fashions, the stuff obviously sells, otherwise TianaB, Michelle Hope etc would soon be dropped by QVC.

I have admit I am rather puzzled as to who buys the clothes on QVC - any suggestions??

I wear it, usually buy from ebay where it is much cheaper. They are easy to wear, I love colour and prints. When I wear the dresses I always receive compliments, happened only yesterday in fact. Most of the clothing I wear comes from a high end specialist boutique and I like having the freedom to wear a Tiana B dress that I paid £20 for with a cashmere Dior wrap that cost over £400. But that's just me, I say each to their own.

I wear dresses for work pretty much every day and some of the Tiana B dresses are fab. I've only bought two but I wear them regularly. Not so much in the summer because one has long sleeves and the other has three quarter length sleeves.

I buy them because they're different, good value and they are literally wash and go.

I don't love all the Tiana B dresses though and that's perfectly normal I think. I buy one or two bits from here there and everywhere.

And as for "who" buys QVC fashion ... I buy some of my clothes from QVC but by no means all. There are some ranges I don't like at all. I am 49 years old. I run my own modestly successful business. I live in Surrey with my 21 year old son and our two cats. I'm the woman next door really.

I have loads of Tiana B dresses - they wash well and do not need ironing so are great for work when travelling.

We all have different tastes... I never understand the "snobbery" of those that look scornfully at buyers of QVC fashion - you don't like it so don't buy it. Some of us do like some bits and buy them - thank goodness that we are all different otherwise life would be pretty boring wouldn't it? :wink:

I thought I would own up as well, I've bought from the Tiana B, Ronni Nichole and Antthony Design ranges over this last year or so. My problem with the High Street stores is that they have such a limited choice for short ar***s like me at five foot tall, and although I can turn a hem up I don't want to have to do that every time I buy something. I also don't have the awkwardness of turning up at a special big birthday bash, as I did last year in the same dress as the hostess! I don't like a lot of the clothing on QVC, but each to their own I say.

I do. I don't have any Tiana B (yet), but I have a number of Kim and Co dresses - all very different from each other in style and print - one Michelle Hope, one Print Fusion and one Attitudes maxi dress.

Not everyone. I declared summer on 1st June and have worn a dress every single day since, including weekends. Many of my friends and colleagues wear dresses a good deal of the time too. And I live on the South Coast, not far from Brighton.

You see, that just goes to show that it's all a question of personal taste, because I wouldn't be seen dead in Quacker. Actually, that's not true, I'd have to be dead to be seen in Quacker. (That's a joke.)

I just don't get this bizarre fashion snobbery that's continually displayed in this forum. We all have different tastes, we're all different shapes and sizes so suit different things, and just because you like to wear something I don't doesn't mean that I have taste and you don't. It just means we're different people.

I love wearing these dresses. They're so easy - they dry in about 5 minutes, don't need ironing, are SO comfortable to wear, and look as fresh at the end of the day as at the beginning. Also, contrary to what's been suggested in previous threads, they're not in the least hot - and that's extremely important to me because I have a neurological condition which would be severely exacerbated if my clothing made me hot. I drive with the air conditioning on when there's snow on the ground, and have a 12" fan blowing onto me 24 hours a day, including while I sleep. This is one of the reasons I can't do ironing, even the heat from the iron makes the condition worse. I simply couldn't wear clothes that made me hot.

I lived in trousers all winter, and I've been amazed at the compliments I've received since I put my dresses on for summer. Almost every day someone tells me how much they like what I'm wearing, or that I look really nice. Even the men I work with have commented on how they like what I'm weariing, which has amazed me because they don't normally notice any woman over the age of 25 or over a size 12 - and my young neighbour, who's in his twenties, said to me the other day "You're looking very nice today, what a pretty dress".

I don't like everything these designers produce, and they're not the only designers I wear, but I do think that what I have of theirs is great and worth every penny.

Can't we just agree that diversity is a good thing, and that we can all like different things, without all the put-downs?

In case anyone else out there IS interested in wearing this overpriced, ghastly, garish tat, I'd like to point out that I'm 5ft 10in with a 35in inside leg,and none of the Kim & Co dresses are above my knee. They're all on or covering the knee. My Michele Hope dress is about 4in below the knee, and my Attitudes maxi dress reaches the ankle. My Print Fusion dress is above the knee, so I've been wearing that with white trousers, and have drawn several compliments. I'm now thinking that I may well try Tiana B's ghastly tat with trousers through the winter.

In my youth I had legs worth showing off (she said ruefully). At college, before a compliment was considered to be sexist, the lecturers voted me "Miss Shapely Shanks", for having what they considered to be the best legs in college. That was in the days of hot pants. And who knows, with the help of DietChef and Leg Magic I may be "Miss Shapely Shanks" again! Possibly. . . . One can live in hope. . . . .

I see nothing I'd like to wear on QVC fashion, I think I'm a fairly ordinary person. My sister, however, has several items and is pleased with all her purchases. As you say, it's personal choice. I do get rather annoyed, though, as their is nothing to tempt me and I like shop for clothes like everyone else. Why can't QVC cater for me? Am I so awkward they can't find a range to suit me?

I was in the US recently and bought loads of Abercromby & Fitch and GAP clothing. I've had loads of genuine compliments whenever I've worn them, especially a gorgeous aqua coloured cardigan from GAP which isn't avaiable here. The US does do nice, functional clothing in natural fibres so I really can't see why QVC can't use their buying power to bring some choice to the British market. It's not snobbery, I just can't find anything I like!

You obviously didn't see me then, top to toe in fuschia/peacock/canary/lime Michele Hope! How did you miss me? you must have a strong pair of sunglasses, that's all I can say!

I do think they could offer more choice of ranges than they do.

The only clothing items I have bought in all the years I've been shopping with them are one centigrade coat & a couple of Kim & Co tops.I have liked the look of some of the Tiana B & Ronni Nichole dresses but I find the sizing so confusing that it's put me off ordering & having to waste P&P.
Reading the reviews, & some posts on here, some tall people say they fit well & other short people, so I'm still confused.
Being a right shorty shanks myself, at 5'1", I wish they'd just give lengths in inches & do different lengths like M&S do. Some of the Tiana B dresses look like the prints would be ruined if you had to chop off several inches.

I've bought clothes from them in the past but have learned through bitter experience that the sizes and quality vary wildly, I had a lovely Centigrade coat which fitted well and did two winters as my work coat. I ordered another from this range and it was awful, shoodily made with buttons hanging off, horrible cheap looking fabric, sleeves not set properley and it cost a lot to return. For my tastes they do not have enough natural fabrics, they do not have a choice of lengths, they and they are so busy wafting on about the wonder of each garment that they do not give the essential info on sizing and fabric care. I found buying clothes from them to be too hit and miss, guess I like to touch and try on before I buy. I do buy online sometimes, ASOS is good as they give loads of info on sizing.
