Two words - Manchester Tart!!! I could live on it. Used to have big squares of it for school pudding, still love it all these years on.I loved, and still love, the skin on custard. I could live on custard, in fact when I was pregnant with my first I think I did. I was certainly not undernourished at any point. I would make a pint of Birds custard, leave it to cool down and eat the top few inches including skin as it formed. Yummy
