essie Salon Professional Nails 7pm 29/05/16 Presentered By Anne Dawson
Is this just Essie as we can buy or is this purely a professional line? Recently tried the Nails Inc Pro gel manicure and was very impressed with the results. Wonder if they will ever sell on QVC?
Don't understand why QVC would sell the brand? But then again Bobbi Brown no idea why they sell it either when apart from the odd set everything is the same price on counter.
But, not everyone in the UK lives near a Bobbi Brown counter.
I've just had a look at the Sally website. The Nails inc Pro are £5.99 and some of the colours are gorgeous. They also have China Glaze for under £3 for some colours.
I've just bought some Sally Hanson 'gel' colours and love the topcoat that dries it almost instantly.
I also got the gel to
Coat from Essie thinking it did the same as the Sally one but it does. It just gives a shiny topcoat. That's serves me right for not putting my specs on and reading the bulb on the box
I like bails inc and got their gel base and topcoat set when they had it on QVC. I find it cracks after a few days so I am careful not to put it on too thickly.
I am going to try these nails in pro ones, for the colour if nothing else
I buy some Bobbi from QVC, but only when it's cheaper than Bobbi's website. It doesn't happen often, but occasionally they do sets or OTO's that work out cheaper than buying direct.True, but why pay postage to qvc when you can get free postage direct from bobbi brown website?
Those prices are trade prices so you need a trade card to get them plus there is VAT to be added.
The price from Sally's without a trade card is £12.98 a bottle.
This is the non trade Sally's website http://www.sallyexpress.com/
I like Essie, better than Nails Inc and OPI for me. But the brand is so widely available now in Boots and Superdrug. They used to be around £12.99 a bottle now £7.99, though I used to buy from ebay US and got for £3 a bottle. Now I nose in TKMaxx and they always have sets and individual bottles around £3.99 a bottle or £7.99 for 3.

Same here. I think the polishes are ok but you're not exactly getting a great deal buying from QVC when it's only £8 a bottle full price in Superdrug (£6 at the moment) and often 3 for the price of 2. Ann D is there saying how cheap they work out per bottle on Q but she's comparing with other brands they do which are £12 or £15 a bottle full price, failing to mention how cheap Essie is everywhere. Maybe I'm just jaded - listening to the Essie guest, you'd think their products were unique but it's the same thing they all say: they watch all the catwalk colour trends so they're ahead of the game; the base coat makes manicures last longer; the top coat dries in seconds; the polishes are self-levelling .... blah, blah, blah.
I think I'll stick with the British brands.
No you're not being jaded, you're absolutely spot on.
