I love essential oils, but I'm cutting back severely. My kryptonite is rose. I rarely get on with products containing rose essential oil, so tend to get my fix from geranium or rosewood. Ironic since it's often touted as a sensitive skin's friend!

It's funny you say that, it appears I'm having the same problem with rose & yet as you say they keep saying rose is good for sensitive skin. My Elemis rose cleansing balm will be going back. Yet it has so many rave reviews. Maybe I'm just the odd one out!

I had problems with the Alpha H liquid gold rose. It ended up as a body exfoliators as I hadn't tried it before the 30 days, and still wanted to try the other products which were in that particular TSV.

I wonder if what all these companies tell us is rose, and what they are buying in to use is the real deal. With so many food scandals, why wouldn't beauty ingredients be affected the same way?

I cannot use Rose! No problem wearing rose perfume but anything skin care for the face a big no.

I used to use the Elemis Eye Mask and after removing my under eye area felt sore and looked red. One of the main ingredients is rose. I once did a survey thing for the Natural Beauty Bible, you pay X and get products worth XXXXXX usually. I did fill in saying I had sensitive skin but got a few natural rose products. Used the mask and within an hour had lots of tiny spots coming up. So avoid all facial skin care with rose in it. Yet so many brands put their rose in their sensitive range for some reason. I remember chatting with a facialist once and they told me rose is very rich and strong great for mature skin but not for sensitive.

Talking of Elemis (sorry cannto remember the exact name), but one of the new oils they brought out last year, the gold bottle. I got a sample and it was lovely to use until I suddenly came out in big red lumps. The manager and another facialist at the Elemis counter who gave me the sample used it and also came out in red lumps!:mysmilie_17:

Wowsers!!! I wonder what real life testing they did... It clearly wasn't enough!

dont rate spa brand far too many essential oils just because something is natural does not mean its not toxic or a well known irritant. as my oily skn is drying out a bit its tolerating more than the old days but i don't want to cause issues

Nadine Baggott has a good item on her YouTube channel, interviewing a fellow beauty industry insider friend who has oily skin. Maybe some worthwhile tips. I can't post a link as I've never worked out how to do that on a tablet.

i think when my skin was oilier and younger it was far more sensitive. now its getting dryer menapause i suspect its not so adverse to essential oils. i am introducing this bit by bit so far so good but i am not pushing it

I'm a rotator of beauty products. At present I'm using a lot of plain Argan oil, and found it brilliant while suffering with a cold. No sore nose or sensitised skin. A couple of weeks and I'll probably change again. My Decleor stash is calling me!

I don't think I can use essential oils constantly. I don't want to become more sensitised than I believe I am already to rose essential oil. I'm always happy with using facial oils, though, and love the condition of my skin afterwards.

Argan oil is brilliant! I used it for a long time, used to buy on Ebay cheap some it has a rather strong smell due to not being triple milled but it went away quickly on the face.

Mind's from TK MAXX and has no smell. I love a Decleor Aromessence, but right now my skin craves plain and simple things

I'm already anticipating that a whole load of fuss will be made by the presenters of the tote/shopper bag that comes with the beauty products.

I don't like frangipani and will not be adding to the stash! Which has expanded a bit lately. Just as well too as I bought some prescription glasses yesterday and decided to get some better ordinary glasses too. So that was a bust! Luckily I don't want the LG TSV either!

I need an eye test and I'm dreading needing new glasses as a result, so I feel your pain!

I had a bit of eye trouble recently and couldnt use my contacts so decided I should get some prescription sunglassees as if that happened in the summer I would be squinting away when outside. Then of course once you are in there looking, all the other frames look so much nicer than yours!

Thanks for the information once again.
Had a bit of difficulty finding some comparison prices and balancing to the £218 value given.
Pro collagen cream cleanser Worth £34 cost £10.28
Pro Collagen Overnight Matrix Wrinkle Smoothing Night Cream Worth approx £85 cost £25.70
Total Glow Bronzing Moisturiser Worth £31 cost £9.38
300ml Frangipani Monoi Bath & Shower Nectar Worth £25 cost £7.55
120ml Frangipani Monoi Body Balm Worth £21 cost £6.35
150ml Frangipani Monoi Body Polish Worth approx £22 cost £6.65
Hope this helps the cost prices included p&p of £5.95 as this is the usual postage cost on these sets.

Got a bit excited when I realised you could get all the Frangipani items for less than the cost of the cheapest item and would make a lovely gift for someone who loves the brand for just over £20.
