Just switched on at 06:30 and there's a new face presenting with Jewellery Alison. I don't recognise her but her website CV mentions Bid, PriceDrop & Speed auction but also that she was on QVC representing varios brands between 2009 and 2011. Been watching for a few mins on and off and she isn't annoying the bejesus out of me ...yet!

Anyone remember her on Bid?

I saw her too and at first I thought I had hit the wrong buttons on the remote. I never watch Pricedrop or bid so I have never come across her before. It's a bit too soon to make up my mind about her I'll need to watch a bit more of her.

I think she was on Bid for a short while before it closed, and I seem to remember seeing her on a late night gambling / roulette channel a month or two ago.

I believe that Eilidh appeared on QVC several years ago as the guest for Awaken jewellery (the lovely silver range that featured lots of nature-themed pieces - flowers and leaves and so on).

I haven't seen her yet but if this means fewer hours for Flinty and JF it could be a good thing. It does get irritating when you switch on and always seem to get the same couple of presenters.

I saw her doing an interview with WG and couldn't understand what she was talking about. Something about Loch Ness, which I gather is the area she comes from.

I watched this new presenter early this morning. I said to myself what a lovely accent and thought how clearly she spoke with excellent enunciation. I also just knew that someone would say they could not understand her. Is it okay to speak with any horrible accent as long as it is an English one? My first and last post I think .

I think you might eat your words once you see her. I originally thought she was a raw recruit doing a trial run, certainly not a seasoned presenter.

I love my jewellery but I just couldn't stand to watch her.

Another one whose smile doesn't reach the eyes, looks totally disinterested & why-does-she-talk-so-slooooowly....!

Old 'I'm in the small' might not really be my 'TV friend in the living room' but at least she makes a good job of pretending to be.....love you Julia, all is forgiven!

My criticism was nothing about her accent, I barely noticed it, it was the piss poor presentation I objected to.

Sorry that one thread is so annoying to you that you feel that you can only do one post and off in a huff .

Sorry if you misunderstood what I posted, I just meant she was speaking a lot of gobbleygook. I have a very dear Scootish friend and I adore her accent, I could listen to her all day.

Never gone in the huff in my life (long) . I have entered this site for the often excellent information. BUT refrained from being drawn in previously, as sometimes I feel that many posts are from those who were the type of girl I avoided in the school playground. If the cap etc. And I am annoyed with myself rising to the bait!

I agree with you about soft Scottish accents. Not all to be fair, but that is true of any country. I was giving more thought to the sound and clarity rather than content. Cheers
