I watched five minutes of a beauty show yesterday and the shimmer effect was ridiculous. For a make-up artist (sorry, "expert"), it looked silly. I know it's been mentioned here before but I couldn't find the thread(s).
My daughter is studying theatrical & media make up and she and her fellow students all look immaculate (unless their applying prosthetic noses with warts or fake beards on each other!), but less "made up" than the beauty counter ladies in our local shops. She stared speechless at the snail trail effect on Tiffany's eyes yesterday and regularly asks me if AY really is a trained make up artist! She likes some of my Doll10 products so I keep having to retrieve them from her kit bag!
i think its the bobbi brown shimmer brick she must use one a week. it takes a normal user many months if not years
Does Ali claim to be a trained makeup artist then? I've heard her reel off the list of places she has worked but only ever noticed her saying she is a beauty therapist expert and trainer.

She used to apply makeup to the models, and slapped and poked at them. The Sales Assistants at the local cosmetic counter would do better, and they are not trained makeup artists*.
*Some are, but most have just the basics.
Crikey Boffy I use Shimmer Brick too, 'nectar' in winter and 'Bronze' in the summer when I have more colour. I don't look like AY, she must absolutely plaster it on! I have had both of mine three years and they are still going strong. AY needs to be reminded of the phrase 'less is more' I think.
