Do I need EasiYo in my life?

Only myself and son would eat the yoghurt mostly. Was also interested in the ice cream side though because I really like frozen yoghurt type ice creams - more of us would eat this if nice! We are also all drinkers of those Vitality strawberry (see fussy as only flavour we all like) drinks so something like that would appeal too. Maybe I could give it a go - so if I was to try off qvc is it a heavy item to return?

Hi Queenie,

When I do the Greek, sometimes I add honey at the half fill and shake stage. This sweetens it up nicely to your own taste, and doesn't affect the setting.

ive had mine about 6 months i got it from gulian graves as they had a half price promotion so was a really good price, its gets a fair use but its only me eating it in my house, i agree with some one who said there seems to be the odd one with weird textures,i tried the banana and it was slimy and sticky in texture very strange but not horrid to eat now i only have the plain low fat one with berry fruit squirt wich is delish, very good for you

I got one from Ideal world, used it twice - but now it just sits in the cupboard collecting dust. got loads of packs of mixes but they've all gone past their sell by date, must throw them out! so much easier to buy a pot from the shops!

I use mine for myself , one pot of flavoured and one of plain a week.
I bought mine when the drinking yogurt mixes first came out but after a few months stopped making as I only liked the berry flavour and got sick of sticking to the same flavour.
My local Co-op department store now sell the sachets so i now buy mine from there.

Thank you and one more question please. Are the ingredients good because qvc are very good at claiming on air that items don't contain something but omitting the rest of info! Bought calico fudge once and would not have had I seen ingredients first.

What was up with their ingredients? Just being nosey!!:1:

Looks like the inventory for a chemical factory <a href="http://plugin.smileycentral.com/http%253A%252F%252Fwww.smileycentral.com%252F%253Fpartner%253DZSzeb008%255FZNxpt484YYGB%2526i%253D8%252F8%255F14%255F7%2526feat%253Dprof/page.html" target="_blank"><img src="http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/8/8_14_7.gif" alt="SmileyCentral.com" border="0"><img border="0" src="http://plugin.smileycentral.com/http%253A%252F%252Fimgfarm%252Ecom%252Fimages%252Fnocache%252Ftr%252Ffw%252Fsmiley%252Fsocial%252Egif%253Fi%253D8%252F8_14_7%2526uiv%253D3.0/image.gif"></a>

I took the plunge yesterday and bought. There's only 3 of us, but what sold it to me was the fact you can freeze it for an icecream type dessert and they do do an ice-cream version. We are only a family of 3, and dh and dd love yogurt. I've made homemade yogurt from scratch quite a lot recently, but my ancient electric yogurt maker has gone wrong, so I thought I'd have a go at EasiYo. I'm hoping that I will like it because I can't stand shop bought yogurt. the only thing that concerns me is if EasiYo contains a lot of sugar, does anyone know?

I was using the Easiyo but after a while got bored with the lack of fruit and bits of pieces - I really am not a fan of smooth yogurt. Plus the normal ones contain so much saturated fat that they really outweigh any health benefits of the live cultures. My easi yo currently sits in the back of the cupboard and its shop bought fat free with bits in for me.

I got one of these when it was IW years ago have to say i did use it loads and loved all the flavours they seem to offer better flavours and new things for it now, mine at the moment is yet another kitchen gadget sitting at the back of the cupboard but i will watch the next show when it is on it might entice me to dig it out. If you are going to use it alot tho i would recomend it to all.:1:

Ps it also great for keeping your bottle of wine cool if you put ice in it i always dig it out on a girls night in.

I have been using Easiyo for just over twelve months. I bought the original kit from QVC but usually get the yogurt packs from Lakeland. I love the consistency of it and use one Greek and one flavoured (low fat) a week, all to myself. I think it is just the sweetened ones that are gloopy. Coincidentally, I started a diet around the same time as I started making Easiyo. I have fruit salad and cereal for breakfast with a dollop of Greek and some fruit salad with my lunch with some flavoured yogurt. In 14 months I have lost 6 and a half stone - I swear that the yogurt fills me up and makes me not hungry.

Finally watched a show on this earlier and they almost had me convinced that I should buy this!

So some kind advice please:

Will it just become another gadget like my ice cream machine I never used because I could buy perfectly good ice cream at the supermarket for less effort, or the slicer that I realised was mostly more trouble than a simple knife?

How does the cost compare with bought yoghurt?

Do they taste good?

Finally does anyone use the contraption to make non easiyo yoghurt?

Many thanks :D

It really is worth a try QVCADDICT. I got mine a couple of months ago because yogurt in the shops is getting so expensive and so full of rubbish. I use the low fat version cos I like the sour/tartness of it and sometimes add some plain Honey. The consistency really depends on how long you leave it in for, I usually leave it at least 12 hours. I would never by shop stuff again so give it a go!
