I know, its crazy and I cant see why. I like the drop earrings - B & W did them in the early days, which I still have, so I have to be creative with my little pair of pliers and make my own up.

I have a fiend who doesn`t have pierced ears and she buys some lovely earrings from Debenhams. The stores do`t often have many in stock but she waits until they have their online blue cross sales or discount days, orders them and collects from store.

Discriminated against AGAIN ! because I don't have pierced ears.

Its about time that QVC did their Diamonique own brand with a non-pierced option. Its possible to buy 'findings' with a combined screw/clip fitting, so if I can pick these up for pennies then I'm sure QVC WITH THEIR IMMENSE BUYING POWER can pick them up for groats ! I cannibalise pierced earrings and adapt them for me with these fittings.

Totally agree. AND clip ons don't have to be old fashioned button style as I have bought drop clip on but would like silver options.

because they will only stick with what they know will sell lots

But Ian when they do present something completely different to the usual boring stuff it usually flies out so there are people out there who are just longing to have an opportunity to buy.

If it's not offered we can't buy it so they say it doesn't sell and so it goes around and a round, chicken and egg.

Yes, I usually have to 'jump' to the phone immediately if there are clip on earrings, as they go 'limited stock' almost immediately, so there IS a market for them.

Many years ago it was unusual to have 'pierced' ears - remembering school friends with sceptic ear lobes and wearing sleepers, and the occasional old lady with saggy earlobes was a complete turn off for me, so I stuck to the big flowery clip on numbers that were so popular in the 60's. Now, the world has done a complete turn around, although on sur la Continent clip/screw earrings are much much easier to find and buy.

But look at the price in comparison with all the silver pierced ones on Q.

And none of them would set the world on fire for modern design

My point EXACTLY. These were worn with big shoulder pads back in the 80's, when we all reached to take one off when we answered the phone !!!!!

Nooooooo, too pricey, and old fashioned. I might be in my 'swinging 60's' but my ear'oles haven't changed since THE swinging 60's !!!! I want swingy chandeliers, I want shoulder length danglies with lots of diamonique bling in a clip/screw and I want it for about £20 !!

Have a look at this site which specialises in earrings for non pierced ears. They have all styles, lots of them !

I remember buying converters from Q and I can honestly say they were the worst thing I ever bought from them.

eBay have some nice costume jewellery ones and sometimes a chemist I go into has dangles but I would like silver ones.

Years ago I purchased a silver pair from Q which were magnetic and the two could join together to make a bracelet. They were made up of fine pure silver hoops intertwined, were a good length, not too blingy and believe it or not the magnetic was safe and comfortable.

I enjoyed wearing them on holidays but I think one might have gone AWOL during packing. Must have a bit of a hunt to see if I can find both of them.

Now why can't we have stuff like that now on Q.

Thanks for that, but I get my 'findings' direct from Ali Express - they are a combined screw and clip so there is never an issue with 'pinching'.
