Those blue geraniums spread like weeds, I'm forever ripping them out! The heucheras are probably 5 or 6 quid depending on size of plant, but they are really easy to split and get more plants for free. Hebes are really cheap, and so is the salvia. Total rip off.
Same here with the geraniums. My heucheras are cuttings from my sister’s plants. The plants in this offer are nothing special and are readily available at garden centres at my ch lower prices.

I live on the South Coast and these plants would thrive here as it rarely goes below freezing. No mention that I could see if they’d be hardy in more northerly climes or f they’d need protecting in the winter. If they came planted in nice troughs/pots they may well be worth the money.

Tried to put the cost in perspective of what it could buy me. For me 6 weeks groceries or 2.5 months fuel bills or 8 bottles of Shay & Blue perfumes, at least 10 pieces of Diamonique Silver Jewellery or a Ninja air fryer (with change)
I am in Yorkshire and it can get really freezing here and my heucheras, geums and hardy geraniums survive no problem. (I have blue, pink and a dark purpley pink geraniums). The geraniums die back in the winter but In fact they are beginning to sprout round the pond now. The geums and heucheras look good and they don't die back. Or at least mine haven't. None need protecting at all. Cheap plants that are really hardy. Q's prices are just ridiculous. Or should I say Dig's plants are stupid prices.

Yes it's freezing here right now, no snow yet, we were promised some but it seems to have bypassed us yipeee

We don't tend to get a lot of snow. This year we have had some but not as bad as other parts of the country. Weather forecast keeps saying we are getting some heavy snow, but we haven't up to now.

Are you in Yorkshire as well Rubia?
Dare I say yes! They keep changing our boundaries! We were North Yorkshire, then we were Teesside, then we're we're Cleveland then we didn't seem to be anything for a while just postcodes, now they are thinking about going back to North Yorkshire which will make me very happy. It is cold and wet most of the time but it's beautiful all of the time.

I had to look these up on the QVC website & did a Google search. There were some very favourable reviews out there! I would expect Charlie Dimmock & Monty Donn to deliver & plant them for that price.
I would too

Just been forecasted for tomorrow here .......

We are in West Yorkshire, between Dewsbury and Huddersfield. I think the Pennines shelter us a lot.
I worked in Bradford for a few years & remember some hair raising drives when it snowed! Huddersfield too! However I crossed the M62 on a regular basis and although difficult I always ‘made it’ to where I was going.

The M62 can be difficult in snow and high winds. More often than not they just close it these days. We don't do so bad here, even when places round about are thick with snow, we just get a Couple of inches. And then, the buses stop running and not a taxi in sight. Used to get loads of snow when I was growing up. When I was working in cleckheaton didn't think twice of walking to work and walking home in thick snow with wellies on. About 3 miles. Nowadays 2 inches of snow and none of our neighbours even attempt to go. 😆

I totally agree with you Merryone. Surely this price can't be right?? I'm going to write to QVC , giving them prices of the same plants my garden centre sells them for and ask them how they can justify this ridiculous price. Actually I wouldn't be surprised if my garden centre ones aren't in better nick. I too hope non are sold. At least Dick Turpin wore a mask!
QVC prices are high and I am choosy on the plants I buy and to be honest I don't buy many from them. However you get a 12 month guarantee with your plants, they will refund or replace without a fuss if something goes wrong and you dont get that anywhere else.

YouGarden will replace plants that fail and if they are supposed to be hardy and they die in the winter then they will also be replaced. The customer just pays the postage. If the Dig ones come with a guarantee for 12 months then I suppose if you kill them you can get a refund - it's almost impossible to kill a heuchera though! QVC refund within 60 day MBG and don't ask you to send the plants back if they are dead or damaged although the last time I did have to send a photo. I'm doing a lot of seeds this year to save money and I've got more time on my hands.
