Let me apologise first for the geeky nature of this!

QVC FB advertised a Clogau ring with topaz & sapphires. These are the details on the QVC item page:

I might be wrong but I think it's the wrong way around; the topaz will be from Brazil and the sapphire from Thailand. My amateur gem gut says it's wrong & QVC has a bad reputation for wrong descriptions, prices etc on their products.

Anyone know? (I know, most of you couldn't give two hoots but the geek in me had to raise it :emo:)

Oh - and don't get me started on Clogau jewellery (the lack of any real gold, the sales pitch on the item video by the Clogau rep quoting Diana...)

I think that you are probably right on the locations.Stones can come from different places but in this case sounds like a mix up.As to Clogau jewellery,I am not a fan really anymore.Apart from the most expensive pieces i:e 18ct gold and diamond etc the cheaper ones are made in China. Not in the green hills and valleys of Wales. They should leave out the Lady Diana sales pitch.

P.S I may be a geek but do not care.
