Yes, I used to often visit antique/vintage fairs, and there was a dealer round here who regularly appeared at fairs with a load of B&W pieces - his stall seemed to do very well. I've no idea of how old these pieces were that he sold, but there was plenty of interest. I've never bought B&W myself, but I seem to recall the ones he sold were a lot more classy and "classic" in design than the pieces you see now - I'm afraid I don't like things like the skull designs - or some of the animals - at all, they look a bit crudely-made and cheap-looking to me.
Quite likely, Simon would only be in his early 40's then, so would still be designing his more 'decent' pieces, not the chickens and pandas we see now. I've seen a lot of Simon's earlier work at antique fairs, and they do fetch quite high prices.
