Breast Cancer Care - 13/10/10

Just noticed from the TV Guide that the Breast Cancer Care Event is on Wednesday 13th October from 7pm to 10pm.

The 'live' event is in London on the 6th Oct but QVC are doing it a week later like last year. I guess they've partly chosen the 13th as it is also the day Breast Cancer Care are having a focus day on secondary breast cancer to raise awareness and hopefully show you can live with it to some extent.

Hope they have some good stuff and raise lots for BCC - I'm selfish as I have secondary breast cancer so of course it means a lot to me !!!!

"With special 50% mark-downs on beauty, jewellery and fashion"

last year it was only 25%

I'd take the blurb mentioning 50% off with a pinch of salt as it also mentions "live links" and this is not the case as fashion show is the week before.

I really think the 50% days are gone, well appart from the jewellery at £600 down to £300. For some reason they always appear.

Also over the years so many brands no longer appear, even QVC owned brands.
The only thing I usually manage to grab is the SBC 500ml Collagen Gel.

Everything re BCC night on QVC in the one place - i've never managed to grab a bargain in all the years QVC have had this event - I think JR mentioned in her blog that its her and Dale presenting in the studio this year with JF and DG going to the actual(OMG i sound like AY) event dinner.

Just noticed item 831762 which is a pink version of the compact juicer but with its own item number. It's also cheaper than the usual item 830544 which is on air today at £68 IP (QVC price £75.25). Might be worth keeping an eye on this if you want a pink juicer (or don't mind what colour it is) to see if the price comes down further.

I noticed this item too whilst searching for the Jack the Lad juicer after I saw it as a Hot Pick last week (QVC assured me a month or so ago had been discontinued never to return :dull I never put two and two together despite it being pink, separate item number etc but my goodness it all makes sense now someone with a brain has pointed it out to me...:doh:
