Bamix & Vitamix

I think IW started showing both these items much less as they had the Chef Tony range , which was sold for a much cheaper price and did very similar things to the bamix and vitamix

I have a Vitamix not from IW which I bought about five years ago and I love it. I've got rid of my food processor and juicer and fake QVC bamix type thing and my mincer and I love it. Yes it's expensive but it'll last you years and it does everything they say and more.. I see Costco are stocking them online with free delivery too!

I bought my Bamix from IW a couple of years ago in silver and it is metal, the buttons are rubberised, it's waterproof, but you can only immerse it up to the base of the buttons, if I remember rightly. The stick does not detach, but it's very easy to clean under a running hot tap.
Considered purchase, but wouldn't be without it, certainly improved the consistency of the Diet Chef Milkshakes:wink:

Mine is black, sold by IW as an alternative colour to the usual silver one, but the same spec. It certainly LOOKS like plastic, but I suppose it could be painted metal, there is no way to find out except by scratching it, which I obviously don't want to do.

I see Q will be selling a black one too.

PS the mixing bit is metal, I am talking about the body.

Im find the guest for Bamix very annoying, and I wish they would decided how there gonna pronounce the name of Bamix, Dale is saying it one way and the guest is saying it another.
