It's the added value, don't you know!

A bundle of extras we don't need so that they can inflate the price.

John Lewis is currently including a 2 year warranty as standard - sometimes they change it to 3 years so keep an eye on their website.

i always bought my apple things from the apple store... they're next to each other in my town, but if you order from apple online (its the same cost of course) you could get them engraved for free.

The warranty is only one year if you buy from Apple - two years from JL.

Regardless of where you bought it, the Apple store will still help with queries.

It is good that tgey seem to be offering a Bluetooth Speaker, as I found with my iPad Air, the sound is one of the low points, I had to go and buy a seperate speaker

If you have a child at school, college or uni and the school,college or uni has signed up with Apple you can get a student discount from either the apple shop or online. You just need confirmation that they are a student.
we saved quite a bit on an mac book pro with retina display, they were really good in store, no pressure and they accepted a photo of student status rather than the original document.

Thanks SCW for all info on TSV. I buy my Apple products from Asda my iPad Air was £399 but I also get 10% off as I am a retired employee of many years. I would not want all the extras Q put together but I think you could get them cheaper elsewhere.

excatly or buy a refurb from their online store (honestly i recommend there refurbs to everyone) as they come like new & with a 12 month warranty as well

Apple is a company which, no matter who you are, will not usually allow it's official distributors to sell at a discounted price. When the Q has an Apple product as a tsv, therefore, I don't think anyone expects a bargain. But it really is going beyond the pale, increasing the price significantly, and justifying this by throwing in, gratis, added extras. I would only deem it as a worthwhile purchase, if I would buy these 'free' extras anyway, which I wouldn't. I have yet to venture into the world of Apple and, by ordering on the Q, I could try it out and if, as I suspect may be the case, I don't get on with it, I can return it, under DSR/mbg. But I know, at the pirice quoted, I wouldn't keep it, even if I found it amazing. I would return it, and purchase it from JL, and get a 2 year warranty. Message to Q : now do you get why they are the number 1?
