I would love to try a cruelty free hair product ....it is so near to my heart now...is this product generally giving good results please? ...many thanks

I know lots of people on here swear by Wen products, but it's never worked for me I just don't feel as if my hair is clean.

I think its a love or hate range, Personally i didnt like it at all , Left my hair greasy and lank, however others rave about it. I would say use it with caution though as alot of people have experience hair loss while using the range, I guess at least with Qvc you have the 30mbg :)

I am a lover, short thick(my hairdresser says its thick and wiry, but an old hairdresser said it was individually fine but three times the amount of normal hair), coloured hair with a natural kink.

If you have a problem with:

Menthol in products do not use.

If you must wash your hair everyday, its not for you. I only do it two to three times a week at most.

You must make sure to rinse rinse rinse until your hair squeaks, with luke warm water not hot.

Hi ladies ..thank you very much for the feedback ....I am going to give it a try ...I feel I must ...and thank you for all,the advice :mysmilie_59:

I ordered the first TSV, split it with my Mum & loved it. So I ordered the last TSV and I don't think it's giving the same results. I feel my hair look greasier quicker than it did last time. I'm not sure if this is because I used the Pomegranate the first time, and I'm on the Sweet Almond Mint this time.

I've been using Wen for about 6 years and second everything Donna said; the time saved in not having to shampoo and condition separately I'd dedicate to rinsing for longer. You know how much you need to rinse if you dye your hair- that's the sort of rinsing time you need. My hair is coloured, long fine straight but I have lots of it. I'd struggle combing out the tangles before drying it with conventional shampoo and conditioners. It saves me lots of time in the shower and I only wash once a week these days; just dampen my hair if it needs restyling. The Almond Mint is my favourite and the Lavender is nice too.

I spotted a Wen informercial the other day on one of the channels I didn't watch but the bit I saw was the price which looked to be pretty cheap and still had the MBG . May be worth googling if you are tempted to try and having a look.

Donna you have described my hair to a T. I have used plain old Pantene for years and years with excellent results but they seem to changed the formula recently and I'm not as happy as I was so am also thinking of a change.

Which do you use?

Well I was using the Pomegranate, Lavander(I love the smell of it), Almond Mint is fine with my hair. Pomegranate and Almond are the most moisturizing.

Cucumber is for oily scalp so never tried it.

To try the kit from the nonnumerical, you have phone up within the 30 days and cancel, or they will continue to send it. English call centre and I had no problem do this.

I`ve never used WEN but before you order why don`t you spend 5 minutes researching it on the web ? There are lots of articles, forums, blogs and posts about it from various places and people. Both positive and negative. Better to be forewarned and forearmed.

I only have to look at the guest's hair and know his products are not for me, his hair looks dull and lifeless to me. I loved Aveda Shampure, but now I alternate between John Frieda and Pantene and only wash my hair once a week and I am quite pleased with the result...

Thank you everybody ...I'm going to google and have a looksey for a bargain if poss lol ....really appreciate it ...this forum is fantastic for all this sort of feedback :mysmilie_12:

Yes May, I know we often get bogged down in our opinions about presenters but this is where the forum really comes into its own.

Mind you we all (well nearly all) love the banter and humour so let's hope that never stops. I for one would not log on if it all became too serious.

If you`re ever looking for a truly natural, additive free, paraben and sls free shampoo which can also be used as a bodywash, pet shampoo and even for clothes washing then soap nuts is the answer. Buy a bag of soap nuts off ebay, put half a dozen into one of those little mesh bags for laundry tablets, put into a pan with approx a pint of water, boil for half an hour, allow to cool then squeeze the soap nuts bag into the liquid, remove the bag, add a few drops of essential oil to the liquid ( optional ) and store in a bottle in a cool place. The liquid cleans perfectly well, you get minimum suds but it doesn`t strip colour from your hair nor damage it. When the nuts dry out they can be reused in the washing machine or for bathing, just keep them in the bag. Lots of people with eczema or other skin problems, alopaecia, or very delicate scalps use them regularly. I used them when my late hubby was having cancer treatments and regular washing powders and shampoos irritated his skin.

I like WEN, it worked for me but is too expensive I feel. I've tried soap nuts in my washing machine a few years ago, doing all the right things but not impressed. I am forever on the look out for a sls free, paraben free and all additives free shampoo but at a reasonable cost. I have tried african black soap, which is actually really nice but pricey but excellent for face, though a bit stripping on the hair. One I do like is tea tree soap from Holland and Barrett but I also want softness which non of the harsh natural things previously mentioned, WEN does fit that bill but too pricey for my budget.

Here you go Lou. I buy most of my skincare and shampoos, conditioners from their base items . SLS free . Paraben free and not tested on animals.

Thanks for link Vienna, I have purchased from Naturally thinking before, they are brilliant but the P&P is very high for me now as my budget for hair care has been drastically reduced, it seems impossible to get natural hair care at a reasonable price, backward world we live in. 900ml bottles of tresemme at asda for £2.28 at the moment, full of this that and the other that my scalp can't cope with, like food if you want anything with the harmless stuff taken out it cost more. I was at TKMAXX Sunday looking at all of the litre bottles on shelves of all the different decent brands and they all had SLS in. Think I will end up getting some from ebay as I you can get shampoo base at reasonable price there.

Yes Lou Naturally Thinking has a minimum £3.95 p and p charge which is capped. It`s expensive if you only want one item but fine, if like me, you order 4 or 5 things at once. As you say, you might get an SLS, paraben free shampoo base on Ebay.
