Another award for QVC and Leighton Denny!

...for the biggest rip off pricing I've seen for a while: £22.50 with generous half priced postage of £1.72?? for a sample sized hand cream 25ml TITCHY! and a pair of cotton gloves (similar are currently £2.50 a pair from avon). :wonder:

£1.72 still works out at more than some companies charge for heavier items! It beggars belief.

Yesterday my best friend sent me two books as a present from the Imperial War Museum, they weren't massive, but weren't titchy either - first class recorded delivery was less than that wonderful 'half price postage' offer and it came NEXT DAY.

What? Now holy moly that IS a rip off!! Not even 250ml of hand cream! Gasp!!

Could there be some mistake? Perhaps they forgot to mention the other four items in the kit! This price seems extraordinary even by qvc's standards. As for the half price p&p, well I find it quite insulting as I do so many of the 'little treats' qvc throw our way in the expectation we'll be prostrate with gratitude.

I thought there had to be more in the set than this when SCW posted the details in the new beauty items thread! I also wonder if this is going to be a OTO, with a seemingly HUGE reduction from the "regular" QVC price.

I'm not as green :envy: as I am cabbage-looking QVC!

Surely the size of hand cream is a mistake??? The Best Defence 50ml on his website is only £9.00. Mind you even if you got the 50ml I would still feel conned!

Solution to any potential purchasers.....Hand cream from his website, gloves from Avon - done! (said in the style of a certain chef!)

I love Leighton Denny but I can't believe the prices and the boring line up - hour after hour of the same things, interspersed with K&Co. Enough already! We've waded through two weeks of rubbish and I had hoped for something good. (OT, but the same applies to the hideous and hideously overpriced items that Simon Wilson is trotting out right now. I used to by lots of his pieces but when they were a normal, wearable size and normal price. Although I wouldn't buy now anyway as things I've bought in the past have lost their stones.)

Had Leighton Denny polish before,personally i don't think it's any better the Nails Inc also the colours don't seem to change that much where as Nails Inc seem to bring something new more regularly.

Also prefer the girl from Nails Inc,the hand model for Leighton seems a bit dismissive and aloof sometimes.

That's another rip-off, the new sets of three polishes are now £33 -£36 whereas the older stock gave up to six bottles for that amount.

That handcream now says the size is 125ml in one description of it and 25ml later on in the text... that might change too.

I'm not sure...
but I can see the analogy between Alison and Alice in wonderland, Pippa and Pippy longwotsits, but how on earth do they make Julia rhyme with mosquitos or death on the nile which are the only 2 I can think of? :grin:
