Dont know if this has happened to you yet (or if its just me ....)
But, has anyone EVER received the tracking email you are supposed to get once your order has been shipped from Rocks???
You may have read my earlier thread about the paraiba ring ... hadnt been shipped according to customer service on the Saturday, but when I called on the Monday was told it had actually been shipped on the FRIDAY and would be with me that day (although no one home to accept delivery, I mean, was the week before Christmas, not like people were lazing around with nothing to do but sit at home and wait for deliveries that might show up) ... was even told that you dont always get the tracking email, but to check your bank account, the money is taken when the goods are shipped!! Although in my case for the ring, it arrived Monday, money taken out of the bank on the Tuesday morning ... so that didnt work!
Ordered (posted re this also) a pendant to match the ring last Monday night. I received the 'order' email and the confirmation order email, the latter actually said delivery within 2-3 working days and that I would receive it on or before the 1st of January!!
On the 31st, I called customer service, just to see if it was going to be shipped any time soon (my items have a habbit of sitting in the warehouse, ready for delivery, for at least a few days before they decide to post them to me, not sure what I have dont to merrit this sort of service) Was told that it hadnt left the warehouse, yes it was sitting there ... but no idea when it would be posted. I asked if I would get 'the email telling me when it was shipped' and was told that if I had given the email address etc, of course I would...
I mentioned that I hadnt received any tracking emails in the past, but always got the order ones ... and was asked if I had given the correct email - they wanted to check (a bit gobsmacked by this ... what in the phrase 'I always get the order email' hinted they might not have my email address???)
I told them yes they did, but gave it again to confirm
I was told it might be shipped on the Friday but maybe not, could be Monday. To check my emails .....ARGH
Told them that I didnt get these emails, that some customer service people there KNEW there was an email problem ... totally news to the person on the phone ... she had never heard of such a thing .. she would escalate it ... to where? would this be by email also? But, if I checked my bank, I would see when the money came off that it had been shipped..... but if I wanted, I could call again Monday, see if it was going to be posted ....
Am off today, and about an hour ago, door went, the lovely DHL guy with the bag which states pre 10am delivery!! (isnt that really expensive?) anyway, pendant in bag is lovely. Glad I hadnt gone out though, would have missed delivery and been even more pee'd off than I am now ...
Checked my bank balance, money still not off ... so, according to Rocks, its not yet been shipped .....
sorry for the rant people, but, they seem to have the jewellery and prices right (unless it says sale), most of the presenters are brilliant and you can even get through to customer service too (although, some do give you bum info) ... but the warehouse/email/shipping problems are what'll stop my buying. Back to my original question ... do people get these emails? Are they nice, are they pretty colours? Are they that special that only certain customers get them? :17:
COME ON ROCKS - get this sorted out. we cant be expected to sit at home for a week after an order just in case its been shipped. We shouldnt be expected to have to check with customer service every day either ... or with our banks
