When a neighbour kindly asked if their was anything I needed, I of course leapt at the opportunity to get the sapphire ring returned so off it went with instructions to bring it back if the queue was too awful. When she returned she said that the queue had indeed been horrendous, but she had taken the executive decision to "stick a couple of stamps on it and pop it in the letterbox". <a href="http://plugin.smileycentral.com/http%253A%252F%252Fwww.smileycentral.com%252F%253Fpartner%253DZSzeb008%255FZNxpt484YYGB%2526i%253D36%252F36%255F19%255F2%2526feat%253Dprof/page.html" target="_blank"><img src="http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/36/36_19_2.gif" alt="SmileyCentral.com" border="0"><img border="0" src="http://plugin.smileycentral.com/http%253A%252F%252Fimgfarm%252Ecom%252Fimages%252Fnocache%252Ftr%252Ffw%252Fsmiley%252Fsocial%252Egif%253Fi%253D36%252F36_19_2%2526uiv%253D3.0/image.gif"></a> However, I managed a polite smile (possibly a grimace), and expressed my gratitude whilst quietly saying goodbye to the ring or any refund.

Lo and behold just four days later, it appeared as a returned item on my orders list and the repayment was in my bank the following day. Not only a miracle that it had arrived, but the speed of repayment was impressive.

So, I offer my grateful thanks to both Gems and the postie for this impressive display of efficiency and honesty all round. xxxxxxxxxxx

Phew that was a close one. Good job the post there was good, if that had been local to me of late it would have been lost forever. Just last week our stupid postman tried to deliver a SD item to my house number but wrong street, he even left a 'while you were out' card in their letterbox. Lucky for me the householder was honest and returned it! That was jewellery and I would have been stuffed!
