I totally agree with both posts. Used to love watching Alan, anyone know what he is doing now? All I can say is, if John Scott goes, I for one wont bother tuning in, and I really doubt the channel would last very long without him.

I am the same as you Turandot, if John Scott isn't on, I switch off. He is the only good thing on this channel IMHO.

Mark Stewart is now a presenter on a fairly new channel called "That's Solent" which is to do with local news in the Solent area. Weirdly enough, when this channel isn't broadcasting, TJC is usually being shown!

It has been a long time since I posted about Ideal World, mainly because I no longer watch it. Reading all of the threads over the last few months, it saddens me that this once great Shopping Channel is loosing its way. I just wonder what the sadly missed Steve "Whatters" Whattley would think...

Don't know if it is just me but I feel this company are going downhill. Only the lovely brilliant John Scott makes me tune in now. Feel he is wasted on this channel now, IMHO. To be fair some of their pieces are really nice, but reading the comments does not make me feel like risking buying...

They did put on screen last week that as from the 16th they will be on Freeview from 1-11. But if you happened to be watching when they weren't showing the new time, no one would know, as you rightly say none of the presenters have said anything, as far as I'm aware. I also saw this morning...

Alan did say on his last show that he would be back later this month. I agree with you about John Scott, he is not on as often as he used to be. If they are phasing out the male presenters, in favour of more female presenters, I also cant see the channel lasting either.

Totally agree with you Greg! Couldn't believe my eyes when I saw the P&P. Thought the usual £7.99 P&P was bad enough, but this is just outrageous! If they want to attract more buyers they are going completely the wrong way!

I don't watch Bid, but when Debbie joined I tuned in just to see her shows. Really like her style of presenting, and sorry she is leaving so soon! Wish her all the best for the future.
