    Tili x Elemis Mystery Bag

Mystery Bag ? Given the number of Elemis tsv's and deals recently I can't help but think this is a crafty way to offload excess stock. As someone already mentioned check the dates if you buy this. Might well be a bargain - but if you don't know what you are getting ...... I predict a...

    Alternative jobs for presenters

Yes, outside of Gemporia, QVC, TJC, etc, many of them have little info on "other" work, though a lot of self promoting nonsense on social media, but actual work ? Maybe they earn so much on selly telly they don't need other work ? I've often wondered if they are on commission?

    Alternative jobs for presenters

And what did these selly telly folk do before they appeared on our screens ? Redcoats ? Market traders ? Gobby salesmen/ women? So many seem to tout themselves as actors, voiceover artists, public speakers, singers ?!?!

    Glory !

Ultrasun, skinsense, SBC, Judith williams and apparantly several other brands that also appear on qvc whose usp is as stand alone, independent, niche or artisan - products ranging from suncare, skincare, perfumes and supplements are all from the same group of companies, and Abi Cleeve is a...

    Ultrasun TSV 01/05/24

Abi Cleeve appears to be an almost permanent fixture on QVC these, be it ultrasun, skinsense and now SBC too. She must now be one of the major suppliers of qvcuk and as ambassador for these brands and her frequent appearances it often feels like groundhog day ! Interestingly on companies house...

    Random musings and general banter.

I would have thought with this fresh start that there would have been an opportunity for tjc/ideal world to have an actual fresh start, but all I see is the same old faces, the same old ( mainly tjc) products and the same old sales tactics. It surely doesn't take much research - they could check...

    It's coming back!

Yes I agree Hammy60, maybe tjc back to " the jewellery channel" with beauty and iw homewares & fashion would make more sense, certainly a differentiation is needed. Though in an " ideal world" pun intended, a fresh start for iw with different ( or just the decent, non shouty, pushy & fibbing)...

    It's coming back!

Mmmm.... so Ideal World is back ?!?! So far selling the same products with the same item numbers that are also available on tjc. Peter Simon, who I'm sure was on tjc yesterday, now apparently an ideal World presenter again. Sally Jacks repeatedly saying " new ideal world" , though co hosting...

    Please listen Gemporia !

On a positive note, the cavill & Co offerings appear to be in a different league to the usual offerings, makes a welcome change. No doubt Jadeite to follow !

    Please listen Gemporia !

I think Gemporia have definitely seen this thread....and ignored ! In my few quick flicks through the channels and on the website, today there have been lectures from Dave & Jake, jadeite, Midas, hand wash & candles..... quality viewing !

    Please listen Gemporia !

Despite Steves announcement that there would be changes, so far I see little improvement. I still don't feel I can believe what they say on air - seriously doubting their claims of rarity, value and "natural" and a quick Google confirms that, still being bored by the monologues, presenters...

    Please listen Gemporia !

    Wholeheartedly agree.

    Please listen Gemporia !

Having read through many of these threads it seems there is deep dissatisfaction with Gemporia as it now operates. In the hope that someone form Gemporia actually looks at this site, I thought I would start a thread where you could list your gripes with Gemporia. Keep it bumped so it can be...

    Gemporia - struggling financially?

Quite agree, 10 minutes or more of droning on and on about how rare and exclusive this gem is, never been seen before on air, then trying to whip customers into a buying frenzy by saying they only have a few left ! Surely at least one employee of Gemporia must read these threads and report...

    Gemporia - struggling financially?

As the consensus on here is that things now seem overpriced, chances are if you took anything to a local jeweller for valuing you would either be very disappointed or laughed out of the shop !

    Gemporia - struggling financially?

Not sure if I am misremembering, but I am sure in the old days they would often suggest getting an independent valuation on the item you bought, they were so confident they were selling a quality item at a discounted price, don't think I have heard that for a while ?

    Gemporia - struggling financially?

Frankly I'm surprised they are still going. At the beginning I believe they did genuinely cut out the middle man and sell good quality, good gold weight, decent jewellery at below high street prices. I have a few of these and they are still going strong. Now... Apparantly all the gems they sell...

    TJC aka (The Junk Channel)

I agree with vapidstoat. I can't see what the buyers bring to the party, they seem either bored, distracted or over the top, with the presenter & buyer talking over each other, difficult and annoying to watch, so I don't ! As for the expert guests, they are just as bad often adding little to...

I am so tired of all the junk...

I too, am sick of all the junk. The make -up ?, the clothes, the candles, ringing bowls, vitamins, noodles ? dreamcatchers and the latest, jigsaw puzzles! What the hell is going on at Gemporia ? It used to sell decent jewellery with better prices than the high street. I have some "vintage"...

    Tony stop lying

TJC, their presenters and guests make many, many spurious claims. I know they have been in trouble before for making false claims, I will Google where they were reported to. Perhaps if they were reported more often, this nonsense would stop. As an aside, I don't really see what Mr Dinaz brings...
