    Shark TSV 27/7/24

I'm extremely disillusioned with Shark products these days. Their customer service is dire. My niece bought the recent TSV hair styler monstrosity. Her old Revlon One styler was starting to get too hot and smell of burning and the Shark came along at the right time. My sis bought it, my...

I applaud your bravery, SF. So many singles miss out by not feeling they can travel alone. I was always independent and would have no problem travelling anywhere on my own. I'd enjoy it more than travelling with a group of friends more often than not. Being able to do your own thing is so...

    Big Deal Prices 29/7/24 - 4/8/24

Thanks for that recommendation. Those cloths look good. I've been using Nilaqua/Waterless (if you search either of those they'll pop up direct or on Amazon) on days where I either find it very difficult to get about or if the fatigue makes the effort of a shower unappealing. I like Freshwipes...

    Waschies TSV 29/07/24

I remember Quickies! Only the nail ones, though. Don't they sell them any more? I'm more irritated by things having an "I" put in front of everything. I have the Magnitone cloths and agree. It does the job and washes and dries well. I especially appreciate how fast it dries. There's nothing...

Evri has new owner and is expanding

I'm medically retired so putting being busier now that I was while working down to having to do everything at a much slower pace (and nothing to do with poor time management ;) ).

I'm with you there. My iron rarely gets used these days at home. I'm a bit lazy but I also lack the co-ordination and stamina to stand at the board for long anyway. My mum had a very nifty fold down board with a seat that I wish I'd kept. If I go again I doubt I'll take a kettle. I'll miss...

    QVC *** talk 😬

Should I admit to being in that demographic and owning one (or maybe two) of those buzzy little things? And I was late to the game as most of my friends had already bought theirs years ago. I wouldn't touch any of those 'toys' with someone else's bargepole, though. I'm the, erm, satisfied owner...

    My returns

The MBG is the reason I buy from QVC. If I know I definitely want an item and it's cheaper than anywhere else I'll also buy there. I stick to Lakeland for kitchen electricals and Aldi/Lidl for stuff like heated throws as they're cheaper but still have a good warranty on items that probably...

    My returns

I'm old enough and ugly enough now to avoid fast fashion and just stick to what suits me. I will add a pair of small shoulder pads I've had since the 80s in some things as I'm more hourglass than pear but still look better when my shoulders and hips are balanced. I've flat out refused to...

I so agree with you. My mum never had anything explained to her either and ended up going down the aisle with a bump. My nan was so ashamed but my granddad told her off saying she should have told her the basics. My nan was still very prudish even when I came along as a very late surprise. If...

Thank you. I actually spotted and changed it before I did the edit but it's caught me out the second time :) ETA (again) that I've had cabbage leaves in my bra but never plants in my pants :D

I'd definitely go with the Boots flight socks. For your health if not for swelling. They're a very fine knit that you can wash and dry very quickly at your destination ready for the journey home. Where are you going?

Do you get swollen ankles? If so, you do. I have the TC compression socks but they wouldn't have been up to the job for me. I used the Boots flight socks. They're a completely different product and did prevent the swollen ankles I'd had on previous flights despite using 'compression' socks...

    QVC *** talk 😬

At least they're using 'vulva' rather than '******' to describe it. Meg Matthews was presenting her range on Q telling everyone her wash was for the ****** yet the label was telling purchasers that it wasn't for internal use. I agree that they're selling snake oil, though. If you have a problem...

Ah. So different problems for different skin. I remember speaking to my friend's mum 20 years ago. She'd had wisdom teeth removed years earlier but noticed the same problems you have. Teeth are so important to the way we look even when we're not smiling. I didn't use sunscreen as a youngster...
