Old jewellery brands that used to be on QVC...

Tinkerbelle - meant to say did you see Charlie's gems hour last night? There was a fabulous large heart-shaped Morganite in rose gold on. I immediately thought of you! It was pretty magnificent... Just gone looking for it...

Old jewellery brands that used to be on QVC...

Gosh some blasts from the past here! I remember chocolate gold, just looked mucky to me . I always fancied trying Royal Congac Diamonds and never got on with it. Used to love it when people would ring in and Dale would try and get them to describe the colour. "Oooh, they're just the colour...

Birds of a Feather Show Touring Again

Birds are back! Just discovered the tour is on again, came on here to post (as I was the one who started the thread when I went to see it last year) but see sublime has beaten me to it (by about 4 months judging by the date this thread started!) Please do go see Birds if you get the chance, I...

Old jewellery brands that used to be on QVC...

I think I remember that one Frazzled - was it all shades of blue sapphires? If it's the one I'm thinking of it was *stunning*. Sorry, that doesn't help really does it?! My OH liked Ana de Costa (think she was quite impressed with the jewellery too...)

Old jewellery brands that used to be on QVC...

Minim - I remember V&A, some nice stuff. I seem to recall some marcasite pieces but it was a long time ago. Past Times do a lot of sterling silver and marcasite, they've gone from the Dreaded High Street now but are still available online. Karen I used to like watching Viva las Vegas gems...

Old jewellery brands that used to be on QVC...

Was just thinking of some jewellery brands that used to be on QVC, wondered if anyone else remembered them or bought anything from them :hi:. Think there was a range called Babylone that vanished just as I started watching in 2003, French range, teeny bit Lola Rose-ish, big necklaces with...

    Richard III

sublime it's true I promise. Nick Wotsit did a majorly in-depth investigation into this Leicestershire woman's clothes line. They had experts in birds nesting habits on live links from the Outer Hebrides, the lot. Kept the entire community in giggles for days... You don't mean the Look North...

    Richard III

Flying Pigs I only went back as far as H8 (as he used to be written in my notes!) Then moved sideways into politics (so actually more round and round than sideways) for my masters. I did my PhD at Lancaster university, another R3 connection! But still feel more loyal to Leicester for some...

    Richard III

Do you know I know virtually nothing about Richard III...despite being a Yorkshire girl now residing in the red rose county...and despite having a degree in history from, erm, the University of Leicester :giggle: It was lovely to see all the press yesterday though with the logo of the...

    All these kitchen gadgets

Am I the only person on the forum who uses their juicer religiously?! It's deffo one of my best QVC purchases, albeit at Birchwood rather than the actual literal TV. Use it every day without fail. My OH & son consider eating fruit to be against their politics so it's a great way to get it into...

    Engagement rings!

Thanks Sacha :hi:. Had a peep on that site, lovely. Might pop over to Fleabay and see if anyones got one to sell! Think I may have missed the boat on these gem TV channels price-wise!

    Engagement rings!

I must admit I get cross in jewellers at times. I don't profess to know everything, far from it, but the misinformation out there is huge, especially around diamonds. It's always a worry when you ask about the cut grade and they answer that it's a round brilliant! No understanding of polish...

    Engagement rings!

Didn't get back on last night, baby girl struggled a bit with her imms. Love the lovely Calpol! Anyway, here are more pics Gemcherub! I'm running out now though (reminder to self: must buy more jewellery...) I'm no Mario Testino and my pearls haven't come out brilliantly, they are utterly...

Leighton Denny and "all them top tips"

For colour, Leighton every time. I always think OPI, Nails Inc etc colours look good until you put Leighton's next to them and then suddenly the others look boring! I don't have any more or less of a problem with staying power with Leighton than with any other range, but for me it's Red Carpet...

    Cartmel Puddings

Think they're made fairly near me Ali. Do you want me to just lob you some down the road?!

    If money was no object...

Hey we're on a roll! Here's another lovely bling thread... If money was no object, what bling would you go for? I think for me it would be a Deco diamond bracelet, one with major design, in platinum, maybe with emeralds or sapphires, something by Cartier or Van Cleef, along these lines...

So what bling are we wearing today?

I think I'm quite boring relative to many of you, I don't chop and change much! Most days I wear my two brilliant/two trilliant ring as my engagement ring, and my calibre set sapphire ring on the equivalent finger of my right hand. I really want a Deco ring for my right hand that's just diamond...
