    John Barrowman comes to QVC

Didn't see it myself but I wonder what his sales figures were like? I guess the trouble might be that peopel are so entertained they forget to order anything. Also it says in the Guardian article he was even wearing QVC stuff - was that Kim & Co? Or Birkis?

    Elemis Perfume

I like the sound of it. I always like citrusy type fragrances (why did Origins discontinue Gloomaway I have no idea). Don;t think there is Elemis in my Debs (metro centre) but there is one in John Lewis in N'cle. Might have to take a sniff when I next pass by...

    Dogs in bali

Just to add (because it struck me once I'd sent my post) that Ruthmay is entitled to be put off buying from the company - but what I was concerned that the thread was going rather outside the remit of this forum.

    Dogs in bali

I am not sure this thread is appropriate. If forum members have specific information about the ethical practices of a company that sells on QVC I would like to hear about them. But so far on this thread I have read nothing substantiated by fact specifically about the ethical practices of the...

    Best eye cream?

No worries. I've not had any sensitivity issue with the A'kin - but we all react differently. I did receive a sample of the LE eye and lip with a purchase from their web-site and quite liked it. Nice light texture.

How QVC is your face today?

I think you might find Bobbi Brown is a QVC brand... Talking of Bobbi Brown on QVC - they should stock more of their skincare (a TSV with some of that in woudl definitely tempt me). I;ve been using the intensive skin supplement for the last few weeks (excetp on my QVC-free day last week) and it...

    Best eye cream?

You sound like you have quite similar skin/ sensitivity issues as me. Gel-cream tectured eye products I've tried and liked (not all QVC brands) include: Clinique all about eyes (prefer if it was in a tube or pump than pot though) Comfort zone eye gream gel - completely unscented and no...

How QVC is your face today?

Update on QVC-free day. Failed at first hurdle. Got in shower and realised didn't have any non-QVC brands to wash my body with. Had to resort to L'occitane verbena soap...

How QVC is your face today?

Take the non-QVC challenge Decided this morning that I'm going to take the non-QVC brand challenge with my skin care and makeup. Sure I have plenty of stuff to use up. REN skin wash Clinique SPF25 superdefense moisturiser (sample free with purchase) - can use on eyes as well (to be honest sure...

    Need a Good Hand Cream

Two get my vote: A'kin unscented hand and nail treatment (got free with purchase a while ago from mypure) - very moisturising and for an intensive treatment Aveda hand relief (fresher gel like tecture - nice for everyday use in handbag) I tried L'occitane one and not keen on the smell

    Liz Earle TSV - 06/02/10

I believe one of the main ingredients of C&P is cocoa butter which is a known comedogenic (i.e., high chance of causing spots in those who are vulnerable to getting them - like me).

What does she look like ?

Going back to the original post. I was watching DF on the LE show last night and thought how good her skin looks. If she really has been using it since the early days (and has not had work done) then like LE herself she is a very good advert for the products.

shame on you, people who hate basso and yet eat meat and wear leather

I would like to thank BB for starting this post because it has made me reflect on my own opinions about how as humans we mistreat animals for lots of different purposes. The fur-trade is probably at the top-end of the cruelty scale and because of that I don't think I'd ever be tempted to buy...

    Shiseido Buy BE

I also prefer Barefaced beauty mineral products to BE. Good prices. Particularly like the finishing powder. I've also had very quick delivery as well from their web-site. My onlly criticism would be that the pots they put the product in are quite small.

    Another Liz Earle Story

Maybe the size of the free gift you get depends on your previous orders but I think the content is fairly random from my experience. Once I received a mini version of the same product I'd ordered as my free gift. Also slightly off topic here but has anyone else noticed that the full size elemis...

Debbie Flint - Diet Chef before and after pics etc.

As I said in my OP I think a stone lost is excellent progress in the time she's been on the diet chef - but the pictures may be a little deceiving. YOu really wouldn't want to lose much more in that time anyway in my opinion as research shows that slow weight loss (i.e., 1lb a week) is actually...

do you use your 30day MBG

The only 'used' item i've sent back was a NN bedding set. Should never have got it out of its clear plastic though. I knew when I saw it the colour wasn;t quite right for me. But thought I'd see if it grew on me. Then after a week and being laundered decided to send back afterall. What a palaver...
