Do Gems give a limit on how many items you can return?

I'm fairly certain there's no limit on the number of items you can return and I speak as some-one who has on a couple of occasions returned everything on an order for no better reason than seeing the pieces "in the flesh" (so to speak) I simply, for whatever reason at that time, didn't like...

    what do you think

http://gems.tv/Jewellery/12ct-White-Quartz-Sterling-Silver-Tookalon-Ring/Design-DGVJ11.aspx think that should give you the link to the ring. Certainly a very pretty setting hope it lives up to the expectation

Problems checking out the basket again (after Glenn Lehrer this time)

Thanks Glitterbug - will do that veeeeeeeeery soon. All credit to Gems, apologised and they're going to try and sort me out (many have tried) and if needs be I'll be chatting to the fab Aaron in customer services on Monday. (I know Aaron is fab as he has sorted me out before without any...

Problems checking out the basket again (after Glenn Lehrer this time)

Have to say loved the Glenn Lehrer show this evening - brought a couple of pieces as I will struggle to be able to watch on Sunday - just gone to check out as Steve specifically asked during the show that online bidders check out baskets promptly only to find one of the pieces has been oversold...

    Father Christmas Loves GemsTV

Nicely put - would have been much classier if they had recorded a traditional carol or just a really lovely song particularly so as a few of them have rather good singing voices. I find the expectation that I would buy this advert utterly tasteless and every time I see (and occasionally hear -...

    Lorique tanzanite

I have two Lorique tanzies, a ring and a pendant. The ring is a great stone and I have actually been offered significantly more just for the stone (2 and a half carat AAA pear cut) than I paid for the entire ring. Valuation also gave the ring a very good write up. The pendant was sold as an...

    Some advice please

Not sure whether you're talking about emerald or tourmalines. I presume it is the Gems of Distinction range and if it a tourmaline necklace we're talking about I would go back to Gems boutique web-site as a 250ct multi colour tourmaline necklace can be bought on line for £157 and possibly...

    Reserved by someone else???

I think - that when an item is scheduled to be auctioned Gems "reserve the item" meaning that it can't be sold online. It is infuriating, I remember being told by one of their managers (when I visited Gems) that they hope at some point to be able to tell people when they're looking at an item...

    off air

Rae is facebooking at the moment "Massive mains electrical fault in GTv area... no power to building!" apparently no one is allowed into the building and they're stuck in the car park. Hope it's not raining ...........

They tweeted late last night that they're off air "due to a technical problem" which i guess is still the explanation ..............:coffee:

    Colour change fluorite

I have a couple of pieces (albeit not from Gems I bought it much cheaper direct from a supplier in Bangkok :mysmilie_11:). Anyway back to colour change fluorite - it's lovely and certainly the pieces I have show a big colour shift. One goes from a rose pink to quite an intense blue and the...

    Money back guarantee......

ditto really - I've had quite a bit credited (think my largest price pledge was £100) to my account. I usually claim by email to the help email address and fairly promptly get an email back saying the credit has been put on to my account and its then come off my next order without me having to...

:mysmilie_483: I have a vague memory that the generally disgusting state of his nails were mentioned.

    pressure sales

Not something that was raised and I have no idea whether what was discussed etc will be mentioned through Scoop etc, though I note Steve made a passing reference to the event in his Tookie hour this morning. What I am confident of is that the suggestions that were made and that can be addressed...

    pressure sales

The fact that many of the male presenters have a much calmer and more informal style and describe the jewellery factually, which as a customer is what most people want, rather than OTT descriptives was one of the items discussed in some depth at last weeks "meet the customer" day at Gems...

    Dangerous Misleading Comparison

it's clearly a day for comparisons - turned off Angeline earlier after spending much of her time comparing jewellery to jewellers like Tiffany and Chopard after she then started on comparing a 9ct tanzy ring directly to what would be available in Tiffany, Chopard, Boodles etc - Hmmm

    Missing Stone?

Glad some-one else saw that I thought it was either me - or a trick of the light or any other excuse I could think of............ 'fraid I always think long and hard about buying off Gems at the moment as after buying a marquise tanzy ring direct off the gems site it arrived with the tanzy not...

A go at a "constructive" thread

well some-one had to go first.................... Communication - in particular poor communication to customers. Why not a weekly email to customers containing relevant information and concerns. For example this could have been used to warn customers of web site changes and selling changes...
