    Before the watershed!

Cannon and Ball ... distressing. Nuff said. Today's useless fact - C&B's biggest fan lives just a few miles from me. She's become quite famous in her own right. She once laughed so much at one of their gigs that she blacked out. When C&B were in panto here, she bought front row tickets to...

    Help...cat wee!

Is it that the new litter tray is too 'clean'? Cats are funny creatures and need their litter tray to smell right. If it's possible, you could try putting just a tiny bit of wet litter back in with the clean to give Sidney the message. And sorry to hear about the dental work, MS, it sounds...

    Help...cat wee!

Just a quick suggestion, Diane, but it might be worth asking the vet to check your cat for a urinary infection. If the cat comes to associate the litter tray with pain when peeing, they sometimes look for somewhere else to go instead.

    Help...cat wee!

Our late senior cat was a little monster when it came to weeing in the house. As susyQ said, biological washing powder helps, but work from the outside of the stain inwards so as not to spread it. If the carpet can be bleached, that helps. Cats hate citrus scent, so putting a dish of orange...

    Dry skin

Interesting! Thanks for passing that on, LIAM. After years of spending the equivalent of the Guatamalan National Debt on moisturisers each month, I've given up and just use E45 and an SPF cream instead. There's honestly no difference in the quality of my skin, and I refuse to accept the...

    My mum

I'm so very sorry, Jacqueline. Please be very kind to yourself and just take things one small step at at time.

    Cake pops advice

That sounds really good, reflexgirl. [Great name!] Would it be worth trying them smaller, maybe even half the suggested size? Would there be enough chocolate, sprinkles etc in the kit? It just occurred to me that these would make rather good small, hand made gifts rather than giving someone...

    Cake pops advice

I'd never heard of cake pops until I read this thread. Are they becoming the new cupcake, do you think? Anyway, I found quite a good how-to website with lots of suggestions for frostings and toppings, as well as recipe ideas. It's American, but Brit-friendly, and it gives amounts in ounces...

    Wow! Exhibition Photos

I've just spotted this on the BBC News website. Oh, how I wish I shared the talent of these amazing photographers: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-wales-21127988

    Concealer recommendations

Like lots of other people on here, I'm a Beauty Bible tester, and a year ago they sent me Soap & Glory's Kick Ass concealer to try. It's brilliant - two shades of concealer, which you can blend to get the perfect colour on your skin, and a tiny pot of translucent powder, with a puff, to seal...

    What book are you reading?

I've just bought 'The Hundred Year Old Man ... etc etc' to read on holiday in a couple of weeks. If anyone's after a really light, easy going read, you might like 'Monday to Friday Man' by Alice Peterson. It's on special offer on Amazon at the moment if you have a Kindle. I've only just...

    Watch out!

It sounds all too real, IceT. Not complicated, it doesn't take a genius to think it up, and all you need is some paper and a criminal nature. Sheesh. By the way, can I pass on another scam, mostly happening in holiday destinations? I'm not best buddies, or anything, but I do actually know...

    Uninstalling Yontoo

If I need a quick fix I do a System Restore first of all, to take my pc back to a date before it was attacked. If you click on the windows icon, choose the normal 'help and support' section of your machine, and then just follow the menu links from there. System Restore has got me out of...

    The Winter of 62/63 memories

One of my earliest memories is seeing huge, high snow drifts which arced up in gleaming white mountains to blanket the lanes. I can't figure out which year that would have been, because I'm of the group of people who insist that 'in those days' we had endless golden hot summers and crackling...

    Goats Yelling Like Humans...........

It sounds like chucking out time at the local boozer. I'm still giggling. Brilliant, thanks so much for posting that, MOMAD.

    Valentines Day

That particular production started life in Cardiff with Neil Morrissey [Men Behaving Badly] as Fagin, and he's back in it again. It's very, very good, but of course the orphans steal the show every time. :smirk: Look out for Bullseye the dog, because despite him acting all mean and...

    Valentines Day

Such is the way of life - my husband's working crazy hours every day this week, so that messes up our Valentine plans. So, for tomorrow, I got him a card, a Thornton's 'I Love You' chocolate plaque and some stupid blow-bubble solution that's supposed to create heart shaped bubbles. [Hmmm... not...

Pope resigns. Smell a rat anyone?

He's 85. Most men of 85 would struggle to cope with the rigours of a paper round, never mind being the head of the Catholic Church. I hope he has many years yet to tend his vegetable patch and contemplate a peaceful retirement.

    Semi Permanent Makeup

Daft question, I'm sure, but for all you tattooed ladies, how long do you have to wait before you can wear eye make up again?

Birds of a Feather Show Touring Again

If you have a free evening this week, Mam, Driving Miss Daisy's on at the New until Saturday. I went to see it last night. [On my own, and I noticed quite a few other solo women too!] It stars Don Warrington, Gwen Taylor, and Ian Porter, all names to be reckoned with, of course, and they didn't...
